Yes, we get along. I adore my FIL, he is so sweet and nice. My MIL though is pretty controlling and too involved. My SIL talked smack about me when she was drunk about a year ago (to my husband of all people) so since then I have no interest in having a relationship with her.

We live right next door to them, so it makes it hard sometimes how involved they are in our lives. But for the most part they are good.

Dh only really associates with one of his brothers. He talks to his mom maybe twice a year and his dad passed away a few years ago. I am cordial to his family when I see them, but I do not really know them.

I am lucky. Dh's family think he married up and treat me as such! My MIL is so nice and has been very thoughtful our entire relationship (she sent me a brithday and christmas gift our first year dating). His brother/sister have always treated me like one of the family. I really have no complaints!
