My baby weighs 14 lbs and is 24.5 inches long. She is growing so fast.
Now if I could only get her to sleep thru the night. She did real good 3 nights in a row and since then nothing. It's not the waking that bothers me, it's that her sleep is so restless, she doesn't get a good sleep, so we don't either.

The doctor told me that 4 months is difficult age for sleep. Matt was sleeping 10 hour nights till he turned 4 months then he suddenly started waking up 3 times a night! He's back to sleeping 8 hour nights now so I think he is returning to his old sleep patterns now.

That's good to hear. She actually slept better last night but not all night in her crib. She is such a good baby in every other way but bedtime and I need sleep. I'm a zombie without it.

I give Matt a warm bath with some lavender baby wash before bed to relax him. And I make sure that the room is a really good temperature because he is very temperature sensitive and will wake up if too hot or cold. I try to keep the room as quiet as possible and the lights low for about a half hour before bed so that he will wind down. Then I put him to bed with some white noise (I usually turn on a fan and just point it toward the wall. The noise from it helps him sleep. He also likes the stereo on a soft rock station at a very low volume). 4 month olds senses are developing so quickly that I think they get so overstimulated that they have trouble sleeping at this age. Anything you can do that relaxes her before bed will help.

I also have increased the amount that Matt eats throughout the day. He's seemed exceptionally hungry lately and I don't want him to wake up because he needs to eat again. So I've worked an extra bottle into his feedings during the day and started giving him cereal in the evening also instead of just in the morning.

Matt had sleep issues for about 3 weeks but has now returned to sleeping 10 hour nights again.
