I took Matt to the playground earlier today (like we do everyday) and someone had thrown the baby swing up over the frame of the swings. I tried to reach up to get it down with Matt in my arms and I slipped in the gravel, falling backward. I landed on my butt with both legs in front of me. I was trying to not let Matt get hurt when I realized I was falling, so I couldn't break my fall whatsoever. Matt didn't get hurt. In fact, he thought it was some kind of game and started laughing when we fell. I, however, couldn't get up for a while afterwards. I felt the impact through my lower back and, when I finally managed to get up by sitting Matt down and getting up on all fours first, pain shot through my lower back, butt and down my legs. I had trouble walking to even get home. I called the ER and they told me to come in. Mom kept Matt, which was a good thing, considering I was at the ER for about 5 hours or so. I had x-rays taken but the radiologist who reads them won't be in until tomorrow. They x-rayed my coccyx, my sacrum and my pelvic. It was the sacrum they were most worried about though.
I am extremely sore and have trouble sitting down from a standing position or rising from a sitting position. The pain is pretty severe at times. I was SOOOO ready to come from the ER though (even though I would have liked to have seen the end of that movie I was watching in the ER on Lifetime! lol) Matt was glad to see me. He started laughing as soon as I came home and he saw me. It's the first time I've been away from him for any length of time for months now.
I was given a prescription for prescription strength Motrin and for darvocet. I have trouble with most pain killers. I get nauseous and have chills from narcotics. They told me that darvocet is pretty mild. Just wondering if anyone has ever been on it and what side effects it may have. I'm almost afraid to take it, considering how strongly I have reacted to narcotics in the past.

I am soo sorry. I hope everything is ok and you start feeling better soon. I have taken Darvocet before but it made me throw up. I have had a reaction to every prescription pain med I have tried. Let us know what they say and try and get some rest.
