I finally booked my flight to England. We are leaving Dec 1 and returning Jan 3. We are going to England and Wales. We are going to spend the holidays in England with my husband's parents, but are spending most of the month in Wales. I absolutely love Wales. My sister-in-law is spending Christmas in Sri Lanka, so we are going to stay at her home in Swansea. It's such a wonderful city, right on the coast. I'm so excited!! Dreading taking Matt on that long flight though.

Oh my goodness that sounds soo exciting!!!! I would love to take a trip like that! I have never been out of the country, but I would love to visit Italy and Ireland! I hope you pack lots of things to keep the baby busy and happy! That will be a long trip!
i don't know how old your DS is, but we took our DS on his first airplane ride at 11 mos. and my bit of advice is to take some suckers - the sucking on the suckers helped with the pressure on his ears and kept them popping.

yup! you may also ask the stewardess for a warm towel or something too - when we were starting to descend DS's ears where really bothering him and he was screaming (luckily everyone was very courteous and understanding) and the stewardess brought a warm towel to us to put on his ears....seemed to soothe him.
