Are your kids into any TV shows right now? The girls are getting into "older kids" shows-- well Alexis likes them, so naturally Sara watches them. I have a hard time finding "real" shows that are appropriate! They really loved "Good Luck Charlie" on Disney- and I really liked it too, generally speaking it was very appropriate for their ages. They want to watch some of the other shows, but I really don't like the messages they send. Most of them are based on teenagers and they are too "old" for my girls

So, I ordered the first season of Full House on DVD and we started watching it together last night. The bad acting is HILARIOUS-- but most episodes end with a "moral of the story" so we will see how it goes.

I remember when Em was our November kids ages, she always wanted to watch the tween shows and they were so inappropriate. We actually put a ban on iCarly because of that.

Brady (and all the boys) like the super hero shows (like Batman). Power Rangers is one of their favorites. They are also really into Animal Planet.

Mel...we have the Punky Brewster set and the kids love it!

Ava still watches Nick Jr. Hehehe. She has watched Good Luck Charlie at my mom's house and likes it.

Those older shows sound like such a good idea. We did watch a Brady Bunch marathon on tv this past summer and she loved that show.

Logan is a big fan of spongebob and the beyblade show but mostly only because his older brother watches them.

Full House! Love it!! Uncle Jessie and the big hair.

Riley and Aaren just watch cartoons. They watch Disney in the morning and occasionally superhero shows in the afternoon.

TJ and Michael watch PBS most of the time. They both adore the Wild Kratts still, and we have all of the episodes on our DVR. TJ has been getting more interested in the Electric Company, Ruff Ruffman, and Dragonfly TV. He likes watching Nova with Dh and any of the Nature shows that he might tune into. He is fascinated with The Waltons. Dh watches it sometimes
He seems to be gravitating toward the science/nature programming just like his dad.

All the males in my house thing America's Funniest Home Videos is the best show. I am not a fan.

We LOVE AFV! The girls think it's hilarious!

Oh-- and Full House is a HUGE hit, especially with Alexis. The only thing that bothers me is Uncle Jesse and all of his women- but Alexis doesn't seem to notice (he just kisses them). I read on CommonSense Media that it dies down a bit after the first season.

Oh yeah, AFV is huge here too! Riley is a big Tom Bergeron fan. Lol! We call it 'the funnies'.

They watched Dumbest stuff on wheels once (it's rated 14 but the dangerous stuff just went right over their heads - we do NOT let them watch 14 rated shows as a rule!) and they have been talking about it ever since. Aaren even reenacts some of the scenes in our front yard.
