They have all had perfect attendance until last week.....Emily and Brady missed one day due to some funky stomach issue. Emily was so irritated because she was going for perfect attendance this year.
There is some policy in place, but I can't remember the exact days a kid can miss until they start sending out threatening letters. Honestly, I think it's sort of BS. It's one thing if you have a student that misses often, but sporadically (so you know it's nothing serious). If you have a kid that is out for a week or more for something serious.....did they really want me to send the kid to school like that??? Since Pre-k is not mandatory here, they will bump a child from the program that has had too many absences. Brady got a warning letter last year, but he was really sick. His teacher told me not to worry about it, but how can you not??? I also got warning letters when I took Emily and Nicholas out of school for vacation a few years ago.
