So I just got the official ultrasound results from the ultrasound I had on Tuesday. They are calling the Twins Di/Mo twins. Which means they have one placenta and Two sacs. I have to go back for another ultrasound March 5th to confirm these results then I'll get the appointment at the high risk clinic. I'll be 11w at this ultrasound which means if both twins are still there with strong beating hearts the risk of losing a twin decreases dramatically, although there is still a high chance of losing a twin up to 20w, where it drops off dramatically.
I also have an appointment with my midwife next Tuesday, hopefully I'll get some answers about how my care will be handled, where I'll deliver, If I'll have to drive 2 hrs for every appointment, etc. Anyways, Just an update.
**update
I Got another email. I might not even need a high risk consult. If both babies are measuring symmetrically I can continue to see my midwife and My OB! I"m very happy about this!!

That is much better news than originally thought! 2 hours!!! No wonder it gets tiring. I hope you can cut that WWWAAAAAY down, especially with a baby at home. Jeesh.
Here's to finding some news and getting things more in line with this next appointment, Sarah!

Fantastic update Sarah! Oh Im so happy for you Go twins, they are proving that they are little fighters, and if you could not be high risk that was be awesomeness girl!!!!!
Sorry.. to just pop in here.. I say this title in the feed. My intention is not to scare you.. just to INFORM you.. place pop in on the MoM board.
If your twins are Mo/Di (Shared Placenta, seperate sacs) then they are Identical, there is always the chance that they could develop TTTS (I don't want to scare you, just make you aware) TTTS can come on VERY quickly.. or not at all.
How familiar are your Drs with a twin pg? How many have they handled? Including ID's? Will they be monitering you closely? Just in case..

my health care providers are family members and are plenty informed. I know the risks, but choose not to dwell on them... stress can negatively effect pregnancies. ty for your concern but i am also well informed. bringing up complications in a good news post might not be the best place to say your concerns. again, i know your intentions weren't ill. thank you.
