in the last few days i've had some hip joint aches and Headaches like no other. Anyone else getting these lovely symptoms? What do you do / take to subside these pains??

I've tried the cold wash cloth overhead(which works but wash cloth gets room temp. lol), i've taken tynenol(fail), and i think i did more just can't remember. how about you ladies?

p.s. i'm in the beginning of 2nd trimester which should be the "honeymoon stage" pshhhhhhh! lol for most part it is though.

I'm just 11 weeks and have some issues with these things anyway. Usually I take 2 Aleve every morning, but since my (also pregnant) sister said the doc told her not to take it, I haven't been either. General body aches and joints starting to cut into my sleep and it's definitely something I'm going to ask the doc about.

Daytime headaches are a big deal for me too, and have been for a while. After we got my blood pressure down I was thinking they'd go away, but they haven't - just changed. And I have a high enough tolerance to pain meds that I can't really take enough Tylenol to help.

All that's helped me is to go lay down in a dark room and keep it quiet - not reasonable most of the time with the three boys around. :/ Plus it helps the headache but makes the body and joint issues flare up! LOL

I'm no help at all! Dealing with the same stuff though.

I've been feeling the hip pain. I stand in one place on my feet most of the day at work, and after an hour or two, it hurts. I feel like they are spreading already or something. Don't remember feeling it this early with my first pregnancy, although I remember it alot towards the end.

Definitely have the headaches. One day (or actually for 3 days) I'm pretty sure I had a migraine. The only thing that helped was sleep, but I'd wake up and it'd be there again. Now I've just been getting regular headaches.
As for joint pain, I've got that too! Sometimes I'll be walking and I'll turn wrong or just take a step and it feels like my hip is going to pop out of the socket. I wake up with hip pain. I've always had lower back pain, but this is much different. My mom told me it's b/c my joints/bones are softening and getting ready to spread..? I don't really know what to do except take Tylenol, which kind of helps sometimes.

No hip pain here, but I have naturally wide hips anyway so
but from headaches and migraines I do suffer everyday. Haven't found nothing effective to them, so I spend days drinking loads of fluids and sleeping

I tend to get more headaches really early on and now they aren't so bad. What helps me is drinking more water and laying down for a bit.

I have been getting a lot of headaches too. I talked to my doctor about it last week and she said that I am in the honeymoon stage, however, I am also in the headache stage! It is common for headaches to flare up between 13-17 weeks she said. She just recommended, tylenol, make sure you are getting enough sleep, and she also said that some people find massage helpful.

I have been dealing with headaches even before I got my BFP, nothing worked for me until I was given the okay to take Excedrine Tension headache, its like Tylenol but with caffein, it has helped me a lot, but I only take it when I really need it because of the added caffeine.

Hope you feel better!

I have been having a lot of headaches, especially during the 1st trimester. But then I realized the headaches were from the zofran I was taking. Now they are doing better, just got to remember to drink more water.

Oh yeah, I've been having daily headaches for about a month straight...it's pure hell...suffering from one now in fact. I hope they taper off and go away the rest of the prengancy because they're a real pain!

alrighty girls, i think i found somewhat of a cure for the hip joint aches. Last night i did the pillow between legs method. it worked 90% but i have mild pain which is tolerable. With the headaches i did a hot shower, not scorching though of course lol
