They are offering this free to Moms and Dads at my Doctors office, and highly reccomend Grandparents or anyone in close contact with the baby. I am pretty sure it is Tetanus, diptheria, and whooping cough. They say adults should get a booster every 10 years. Have any of you seen these posters at your Doctor visits? My Mom got whooping cough a couple years ago, and it was BAD! She would cough so hard that she would pass out. If you are not anti-vaccine, let me know what you think.

DH got his today and my mom (who will be watching baby quite a bit) got hers a few weeks ago. My midwife said it's safe to get in your third tri but I'm still going to wait until after he's born to get mine. California has had a bad year with whooping cough this year.

I haven't seen any posters at the Docs, but I would make sure that you are up to date on your vacs especially after baby comes! If you are safe, then baby will definitely be more safe!
Personally, I am going to wait till after delivery before I get any boosters! Just a personal preference I guess.

I haven't seen or heard anything about this! They didn't even have it when I had DD, so I guess I don't need it? Is it more of a regional thing? Hmmm... I'll ask my OB. I know my DH won't want to get any more shots unless they twist his arm. He's not "anti-vacc." but he doesn't want to get a shot a month, which is almost what it seems like nowadays!

I'll be getting the booster shot soon after the baby is born. I'm in california so the outbreak here scares me. I'll be sending DH very soon to go get his.

My poor DH is always getting stuck with something. The Army is always vaccinating him for everything, so I wonder if he's gotten this one? If I asked him, he probably wouldn't even know. He just rolls with the punches.. lol

The last vaccine I had was a tetanus shot 12 years ago.
