I'm reading these threads about getting the baby out of breech position. What if you don't know the position though? Should I be concerned that my Dr. hasn't tried to check her position? I know I don't get another ultrasound unless there is something wrong, so they aren't checking that way. I don't get cervical checks until 38 weeks (which is TWO WEEKS from now!!). Can they figure out position w/o an ultrasound or cervical checks?
I'm just concerned that I wouldn't have enough time to coax her into another position before she came if I don't know how she is positioned right now!
When/how does your doctor or midwife check you?
Thank you for all your advice, ladies. The doctor DID check today and it seems as though my little lady IS head down. Good to know!
My midwife checks his position by pressing on my belly and palpating. She says that if there's any question at all, she orders an ultrasound, but she's been convinced for several weeks that he's head down.

I had only one U/S with DD - found out in delivery that she was "sunny side up". She wouldn't turn, either.
I do know there are methods of knowing whether your baby is breech or not...I would google & see what different articles say (or maybe the ladies here will have better advice).

I had the same feelings! I only got 2 U/S and they were early on. My doc would just press on my belly and say " Oh this is his head"...I had to get a NST the other day and the U/S they did then showed him head down. But she said If they feel like he's not they will do a In Office U/S closer to my DD.
The doc can tell where the baby is by feeling - so should be no worries and worst case is that if you go into labor then they can do an quick ultrasound to make sure.

At my 32 and 34 week visits the doc firmly pressed from the outside on my lower abdomen and said baby is head down. I felt like I was going to pee myself and I was achy afterwards.
They can also get somewhat of an idea based on where they find the heartbeat.
