Sorry for not updating sooner, but I did not feel well today from the meds. They started pitocin at 515 am and within 15 minutes I was feeling very strong contractions. By 1015 I still hadn't gotten past 1 cm and I took the iv drugs that lasted about 2 hours and dilated to 2 cm by 1215. Dr broke my water and agreed to let me have an epidural, which I got at 130. By 330 I got to an 8! It always takes the epdidural for anything real to happen. By 4 I was at a 9 3/4 They got the room ready, but then things got busy and the nurse couldn't come back until 5. A few minutes later she asked me to do a practice push and after 3 seconds she told me to stop, she needed to get the doc. Luckily he was out in the hallway. He came in and 4 pushes later Teresa Rose was born! What a difference from the 1 hour of pushing I had for each of my boys!
She was 7 lbs, 15 oz, so not as small as they thought! We are so excited to have a baby girl!
