Anyone else have a scaredy cat? Layla is such a scaredy. If I pick her up too fast, put her down too fast, or if I yell or even talk too loud after being quiet, anything, she does the newborn arm shakes I know my other babies did as a newborn, but not at almost 3 months old. And she seems to be getting more sensitive to it. Funny thing is that she is not scared of loud noises. All my kids have been scared of vacuums and blenders etc, Layla could care less and actually likes the hair dryer.

You must be breaking her concentration or something!
Faira stopped that falling reflex about 2 weeks ago.
I did scare her almost to tears today. Apparently she doesn't like me singing like Cher.

wow this sounds just like Drake!! one morning he was in the living room and my hubby opened the back door to let the dogs in, and he forgot that the alarm was still on. It went off loud and Drake just laid there. I seriously worried about his hearing despite the hospital hearing test. Well then a few nights later i was holding him and i yelled at my cat who was clawing my carpet and it freaked him way out and he started screaming and flailing!!

Hehe, Max is a big ol scardey cat, too He hates to be put high in the air or "tossed" (even though no one would ever let go, he still FREAKS if anyone holds him up too high). He does not enjoy it if I'm holding him or nursing him and have to yell or speak loudly. And he used to get scared and cry when my phone rang I had to change the ring tone for him. And he still has the newborn arm reflex, too.

My son was scared like that when he was a baby (he still scares easily) but nothing like that bothers Rachel at all.

Yep, Evan is just like you described. He gets startled even I talk softly...I guess when he is not expecting it and it has been quiet for a while. Sometimes I think its kind of sweet--like he is a sensitive boy.

Only if it's quiet here and there is a sudden loud noise.
