Are you using a convertible car seat yet? If so, what kind? If not, what do you *think* you will use? We just bought our new car today A beautiful Chevy Equinox SUV and since Evie needs a new car seat I figured I'd get Paige one too for when she outgrows her carrier. I need a seat that will fit rear facing behind DH who is 6'4" We have an original Britax Marathon and I like it but still want to explore my options

I have an Evenflo Symphony 65. It is highly recommended in my province. I love it and Milan loves it.

I have the Britax Boulevarde and I love it! It fit good rear facing even in the Jetta before I got my van.

Oh, forgot to add that I have Jetta also and I'm amazed at how well the new marathon fit RF compared to the older models.

Teresa is still in her carrier for now.
In August when Nathan goes back to school, we are going to put the Evenflo Triump RF in the middle position, with a Nautilus on each side for the boys. Then the 2 kids I watch will be in the far back.

Kat, I love the Radian!! I never realized how narrow they are until I saw my friends. I already had bought the marathon, but that is definitely a great seat for small spaces.

Max has been in a convertible in my car since day one. He has a Britax Boulevard CS 70, as well. I love it!!! I actually would have preferred the Raidan, though, as it's taller, so he would be able to RF longer, and it's so nice and narrow, but it's TOO tall to RF in my little car But I'm very very happy and just love the Boulevard

For those with the Radian... does it offer a reclining option? I know the Marathon you can tilt it a bit to recline some for younger infants. My kids usually fall asleep in the car and I absolutely hate when they fall asleep and their little heads flop forward. The reclining feature helps prevent this. Evie is front facing now, we turned her at about 20 months. She was getting violently car sick. So it will be just Paige rear facing but I do intend to keep her rear facing until 2 or later if she'll tolerate it, so would the radian allow for that as well??

Yes! There is a base that you install to the bottom of the Radian to cause it to recline to a 45* angle. However, this is only for rear facing.
Just in case anyone was wondering: I drive a Dodge Journey now and I could easily fit 3 across the backseat, no problem. When I drove a Mercury Mariner I could probably fit 3 across, but I think it would have been a little too tight to do so comfortable.
They are definitely better car seats for SUVs as they might be a little tall for cars.

Hailey is in a conv. We bought her the Safety First Complete Air 65 in Flutter. I am really happy with it! Savannah has a Britax Blvd and Brennan has a Recaro Como, I am happy with both of them too! As long as you can install it corectly in your car and LO fits in it well you will be fine with whatever you decide!
This is Hailey trying out her seat when we got it

Kierson is still in his carrier seat, which usually stays in the car.
I am in need of a convertible seat, very soon! He is getting too big for the carrier and I'd like to just be able to leave the new seat buckled up in the truck.
Are any of these seats mentioned affordable for less than like $150 and if not, what seats are for that much or a little less? (I'm sorry! Just can't afford much more than that and I don't know whats out there cause Ellie currently has a cheap seat that I hate!)
Sorry to steal the post from you Jenna! But maybe we both can benefit from all of the other ladies answers!

Haileys seat only cost me just over $150, its like $179 but I had a coupon for toys r us and got over $20 off! I like it just as much as Savannah's $300 Britax and Brennan's $300 Recaro!!
