Besides BM or formula do you give your LO anything else to drink? I know some have given some juice to help with constipation and some are given it with meals. I was just wondering what your LO's are getting.

Easton has had a sippy cup with water since I started feeding him solids. He doesn't drink a whole lot, maybe an ounce or so per meal 3x a day.

Caleb has sips of my water all the time he loves water, it's crazy! He's very unhappy when I take it back. He can't figure out a sippy cup but he'll drink out of my cup or open water bottle.

I've given Leah sips of water out of my cup. She also gets water in a sippy while we eat our dinner. I feed her (if she'll eat it!) after we're done.

Water, yogurt juice, or milk in a sippy at dinner time.

Amy do you just give him regular whole milk? Hmmm I hadn't even really thought of introducing regular milk now. I have always heard to do this at one year, but then again.... BTW how much does he drink?

I was wondering about the milk too... I know we were told time and again to not introduce cow's milk to Kensley until she was a year... and I remember giving her goat's milk for a while as a transition, but I can't remember if that was before the year mark or after. Bah.

Kellen gets the basic water in a sippy. He's getting the hang of the sippy, but he really doesn't drink that much, maybe an ounce all day.

When he was stopped up (constipated) when we started protein and more formula, we gave him a watered down apple juice, but not much. He doesn't drink it now that he's regular again.

Water in a cup. She doesn't drink it though, just plays. She won't have juice until she's at least 2.

Once in a while I give him water with his solid food. Just a little bit in an open cup. He doesn't retain a lot but he likes drinking it this way.

Water in a sippy cup. I've thought about giving him watered down juice, but will wait a little longer.

Nothing really. I give her a sippy with water to practice the sippy cup, but she hardly gets any. She doesn't like water yet really!

Water, diluted 100% juice, yogurt juice in a sippy. He has become quite attached to his sippy so he pretty much always has something in there.

Haddyn has still not had anything. I think I may try to give her some veggies tonight. She has not really shown any signs of needing anything else and frankly it is so much easier that way I guess I need to start at some point though.

I haven't been very good about remembering to give Chase his sippy cup with water. I'll have to remember to do that. Right now he mostly just chews on the sippy. My DD never really liked regular sippy cups and we had to get the ones with the straws. I may need to do the same with Chase.

we started occasionally doing a sippy cup with just a little water in it for Kaylee. That's all for now, the ped said we could start juice and she tried it once and didn't like it

Nothing else yet. We've given Paige brown sugar and water once or twice for bad cases of constipation per. pediatricians recommendation. But nothing other then Breastmilk. If I give her a sippy it has expressed milk in it. I wont do juice till a year, just a personal choice.
