What size does your LO wear? Well, it would be practical to buy her something in the 12 - 18 month range, especially if it was fall/winter clothing because we're up North.
At there first birthday what kind of climate will you be in? late summer getting ready to transition into fall
What toys does you LO like? Anything really -- if you can bang it on the floor she's happy!
Favorite colors? Pink and then a red/black/white combo (Chicago Blackhawks AND ladybugs -- everyone wins!!!)
Are there any themes you would like to incorporate in your present? Betsy will love her gift no matter what!
Anything else you would like your buddy to know? How can I put this so that it doesn't sound like I'm making fun of her.....Betsy has an adorable, super-cute pumpkin head, so sometimes we have an issue with her head getting through small openings in clothing. Sometimes hats are a little too snug on her too.

What size does your LO wear? He is in a 3-6 month now just going into a 6-9 So winter clothing would be a 12 month (in target walmart) 6-9 in nicer stores (Babies r us, carters old navy)

2T is like Toddler size. Im not sure how many months that would be. Maybe Amy can shed some light on that for us.

Yah!! It goes in months exclusively til 1yr then its a mixture of 1-1.5 yr or 12-18 months etc. If I didn't ask i'd end up sending size 2 shoes!

My thought would be that it is the size above 24 months. Cause usually do 24 months then 2T.... What would that be?

Actually size 24 month is a baby size (diaper and thus wider in the butt) and 2T is a toddler size.

At taregt which carries both, their 24 months has elastic in the back and their 2t has the adjuster on the inside.

Most stores don't carry both and jump from 18m straight to 2T.

2T is about the same as 24 months but a little longer, like Nicole said, more toddler sized and less baby sized. Some places only make one or the other, though, and some companies make both. It really just depends

BTW-- 24 months is for a "bigger baby" or toddler with Diapers 2T is typically for "toddlers without diapers" so the length is a bit longer and the waist a bit smaller.
