will you switch your LO?I did with my other kids but their carseats didnt go as high in weight or length as Tony's. Tony still has a few more inches and alot more pounds to go. I wont buy a carseat until than. Unless someone buys it for his birthday.
will you do extended rear facing?Like I said above I want to rear face him as long as he is comfotable and I think he is ok to turn around

The NEW recommendation from the Academy of Pediatrics is age TWO and or "the height and weight maximum limits of your car seat"
AAP Updates Recommendation on Car Seats
Evie was rear facing until 18 months. I switched her for 2 reasons. 1) we had a TINY pontiac sunfire convertible and I was Hugely pregnant with Paige. In order to buckle her in rear facing I literally had to get into the 2 door backseat to strap her in which near the end became almost impossible. and 2) she got AWFUL car sickness around 15 months. Over a 10 minute drive ended in misery and yuck.
I do plan to keep Paige rear facing as long as possible. We have a big car now "chevy equinox" and our radian carseats are awesome and easy to get in and out. As long as we don't hit any awful car sickness phases we'll keep her rear facing as long as we can

New regulations say age two!
I will keep Lucy rear facing at least that long, maybe even longer.

I plan on keeping Betsy rear facing as long as possible. That being said, we have a long drive to daycare every day and if she starts throwing tantrums because she's bored in the backseat, I'm going to flip her around. I know it's best until 2 but I can't listen to screaming for 45 minutes straight every day.

Gideon will be rear-faced until he outgrows the limits of his car seat. Hopefully at least until he is 3.
Rear facing is SO much safer!!! If you haven't done research on the subject, I urge you to! Youtube has some great videos on it!

I'm planning to keep Gabriel rear-facing to at least age 2. He loves riding in the car, so as long as he's comftorable he will stay rear facing.
Below is a great video I found when I was doing some research before buying our convertible car seat. Rear facing really is so much safer:

At the rate Chase is gaining weight, he won't be 20 lbs at one. We are going to keep him rear facing for a little while longer, but we probably won't make the 2 year mark. He already screams in the car.

I am pretty certain that she won't be 20lbs by 1 year, but even if she was, I wouldn't be turning her yet. We kept Lukas RF until about 18 months. Hoping I can keep her RFing until 2 years old.
She's not even on the highest shoulder slot of her carrier yet.

Gavin will for sure Not be 20 pounds at a year (doubtful to reach 18 pounds) but we will keep him RF til he is 2.... we did Logan till 22months, but I didnt know then how much safer it was or I would have left him RF longer

We will probably keep her RF for a little while. Not until she's 2, though. She already meets the weight requirement and once she is 1, I'm sure she'll stay RF for a little longer.

Grace meets the weight and has already been turned. I know, I know, she isn't one yet. (almost ) But she HATED it and her legs are so long she was shuving off the seat constantly. I turned her last week. I had to drive a 9 hour trip to Kansas by myself, and I wasn't about to listen to her scream the whole time.
The look on her face when she saw that there was a tv in the van was priceless!!

We're turning Leo when he hits 20lb, which, judging by the way his growth chart is, will be at about 15 months,

Jay has been turned since he was 20lbs...about 3 months ago! My car is parked somewhat away from my house and he was too heavy to carry in the carseat on my own with bags and such so I switched him.. bad mummy I know!
