wow what a week! The layoff and then my uncle. Well good news is that Mark got rehired at BOA in a different dept and technically in a higher up position (no pay increase yet though LOL) and he gets to work 40 miles closer to home! I am so proud of him for getting it all on track so fast.
My uncle had a beautiful wake last night and the major of Fort Worth was even there! He was a very well liked man. He looked great and my aunt put him in one of his cycling event tshirts. It made it really feel like him instead of a suit. I have family in from Houston and got to visit with them last night. Sad thing is that mark does not get to come to any of it b/c Drake is so fussy around others

That is great!! I'm so glad such a negative became a good thing so quickly! And I'm glad your uncle's wake was such a nice memorial, though I am sure it was still so hard.

So glad to hear the job news. It's nice to have positive things offset the bad in life.
40 miles a day is HUGE!! Imagine the gas savings alone, plus the extra time he doesn't have to sit in traffic.

OH that's great news about the job! He was right huh? So sorry for your family's loss.

If I hadn't mentioned it a million times already, I feel your pain on the fussy baby-but we still just take her anyways. We had a funeral last week and I knew it was going to suck with everyone wanting to hug and hold her, oh well-just makes you develop a thick skin because I know people are wondering what we've done wrong but if I want to have any peace of mind I have to just think I don't give a S#!*!

P.S. I wasn't saying that to criticize you not taking him, was just ranting about having a fussy baby too!

Oh i totally understand I really thought about it, the hubby was mostly against it though. My uncle was also an extremely close family member so I just guess I really did not want Drake to upset the atmosphere. It was a Catholic funeral so very very quiet and traditional and I could just imagine Drake screaming through the whole thing. At the wake it was extra quiet b/c we said the rosary which takes forever.

I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss. And I'm glad to hear that your DH already found another job. That is fantastic, especially in this economy! It looks like things are starting to turn around for you!
