So...

Kensley has 1 booster seat, basically permanently fixed in my car (it's a given it stays there). We have Kellen's (used to be Kensley's) Evenflo Triumph in my car (love it WAAAY more than the new Britax or anything else!)

In the shared van we have a crappy (as in I don't like it, not as in safety) Safety First carseat that doubles as a booster for Kensley and for Kellen, the Britax.

Baby will probably be in our pumpkin seat for at least a year, as it's good through 32" and 35# and I doubt she'll hit that before a year Kellen didn't!

So... In a year or slightly longer... what will I need? Another booster for Kensley, moving baby to the Evenflow and Kellen to the Britax? Another booster for Kensley for the shared vehicle (whatever it is) AND another Evenflo Triumph for baby?

I'm lazy and do not want to have to move carseats around, so we are more than willing to buy something else for the "other" car. I think the Evenflo Triumph we have will be good for another 2 or 3 years (I have to check the date), along with the "cheapy" that's all right (Safety First). Those may be something to consider, too.

Good Lord!

For now, you can just get two bases, right? Since the infant carrier seat is easily moveable, and just have a base in each car?

If it were me, after that I'd just get one car seat and one booster. Move the Britax to your car (if that's what the kids are usually in), and then have baby in the Evenflow, Kellen in the Britax, and Kensley in her booster.

In the van, have the baby in the new car seat, Kellen in the Safety First, and then Kensely in the new booster.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking, but I needed some reasoning to see if I was being smart Thank God it's not for a while! Right now, we're going to get by with what we have

We do the same Gwynne in the yukon, I have a booster for Kyren and 2 5 point harnesses for the boys. In the truck we have a booster and a older 5 point and one for Rogan too.

Wait, I'm confused why you would need another booster for Kensley if you already have 2 of them. Or were you thinking or getting the booster and then using the Safety First seat you don't like as a seat for Kellen?

As long as the seats are within their timeframe, I'd keep using them and by the time little girl is out of her bucket there will be so many new choices out there, I'm sure!

I have 5 car seats for the kids. In the truck (used 95% of the time) Nathan has a Nautilus (still in 5 pt mode), Lukas has an Evenflo something or other (not my favorite seat, but the Evenflo wouldn't fit correctly), and Teresa's bucket seat. Then in hubby's car for the rare trips, Nathan has a high back booster and the Evenflo Triumph is in there for Lukas-although I think he's only been in it once. Ideally I'd love Radians for all 3 kids, but hubby would kill me if I asked to switch them all now.
