.....get up an hour early so that you could have some "me" time OR sleep the extra hour and wake when the kids get up?

Sleep! Although I do take "me time" after all the kids are in bed. If I didn't do it then, I would probably rather get up an hour early.

Sleep!! I get my me time in after he goes to bed and during his nap (if I don't take one too, I love my sleep!). I'm also not a morning person at all.

I'd normally say sleep bc I love my sleep too! But this past week I've started waking up early even when I don't need to. I feel like its an advantage to get some stuff done or have my morning peace rather than waking up to DS crying and feeling annoyed and like I'm already behind before my days even started.

Megan, I'm the same way. I'd rather get up and have a quiet and/or productive start to my day. On the days that she wakes me up, I always feel like I'm playing catch up and that bugs me.

More often than not I sleep and get up when they get up. Getting ready only takes me about 5 minutes though since I shower at night. I stay up after they've gone to bed to do stuff or hang out with hubby.

If I were to get up an hour before them, I would be waking at 5:30. No thanks!!!
Now, that being said, since E is 4 now, I can give him my iPad at 6:30 and he runs into the den with it. That buys me about 20 minutes before I Luke gets up. With school starting back, as soon as Evan graces that door, my butt needs to be in the shower. UGH! So early!!!

I do get some 'me' time at night when they go to bed. That is when I can get every things done for the next day so i don't feel so behind in the mornings.

I would go for the sleep. I'm a night owl so I stay up and get my me time and do somethings around the house once they have gone to bed. Easton will wake up his bubba and sissy in the morning so usually I get another half hour or so....I trained him well.

I am a night owl so I usually sleep and take my ME time at night. But here there is no issue as DH always gets up with the kids because he is a morning person.

I'd love to get up an hour early, only my kids wake at the crack of dawn, so no thank you. I'd be waking up at 5:00. Even still, I've seriously thought about it. I usually try and get my "me" time at night after they are in bed. But, then that's more "hubby and me" time, so it does't really count!

Ditto to Coetta... I hate mornings. My kids wake up waaay too early. So, for me to "sleep in" requires someone taking these noisy monkeys (aka children) out to the lake or to our sandbox/swingset for at least an hour

I recently started to wake up an hour earlier. I can drink my coffee and have my breakfast in piece and quiet. I get the kids breakfast ready and sometimes I can get a few other things done as well when nobody distracts me. It's definately better then wake up with the kids. I wish I could sleep in but I like it this way better.
