Adam and I are doing the budget TOGETHER weekly. Huge help for both of us to quit spending mindlessly, but much more so me.

Unscubscribed from a gazillion sale blogs and ads, but did keep a few that I just can't miss.

We just started this month on a new budget and like Nichole and Adam, we are doing it together! So far we have sat down to talk about it and go over it 3 times since payday on the 11th! Feeling pretty good about that!

I just took the kids to the thrift store and spent $28 on 12 items. Ashley got a pair of jeans and a shirt. Brandon got 8 shirts and 2 shorts. All but one shirt was upper quality except for a Ninjago T that Brandon HAD to have. I LOVE thrift stores.

I've been hanging some of our clothes to dry. Outdoor clotheslines aren't permitted and there's no spot in the basement, but when I came across someone writing about hanging her clothes on hangers on the clothesline to get more hung, it dawned on me that I could do that and use the shower rods in the 2 bathrooms! A lot of our clothes is hung anyways, so 1-2 loads of laundry per week I hang on the hangers and then put them away when dry. Not sure how much it saves to not run the dryer, but every little bit helps!

Cutting back on my before school coffee purchases. The PSL that I bought earlier in the week was the first one in a long time. Although I should admit that this has more to do with not having enough time in the morning to stop rather than an attempt to save money, but hey as Kris just said, every little bit helps, right???
