Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for a while and have posted a couple times but never officially introduced myself. So a little about me. I'm 26 and DH just turned 30. We've been married for 3 years and celebrated 10 years together last month This is our first month
I went for my annual pap a few months back w/a new dr. He asked about kids and I said soon. He ordered pre-preg blood screening (everything's good). I was on the monthly shot Lunelle a few years ago and AF hasn't been normal since. Since I had been 48 days between my last 2 periods he put me on bcp's for a couple months to regulate my period and hopefully kickstart ovulation, and also perscribed pre-natal vitamins. He also ordered an ultrasound on my overies to rule out PCOS (none *whew* ). But he did say that my lining was thin. So on my follow up where I got all these results he, wrote me a perscript for clomid to start on cd 3-10 after my last pack of pills. Is that odd to anyone else that he already perscribed me clomid before we even officially started trying?
I'm currently on cd 17 and decided to hold off on the clomid for right now and try on our own for a month or two....I surely don't want to be the the next woman on the news "Today a Texas woman set a record when she delivered 10 babies in a Dallas hospital after using the fertility drug Clomid" ugh! No thanks! LOL. So I'm now in the forever long 2ww and hoping for a bfp! Sorry to ramble on, this is an awsome site and I look forward to chatting with all you fantabulous ladies!!
Just wanted to say hello and welcome to JM and to the TTC #1 board! I am Donna - I am 37 on my 7th cycle TTCing. Feel free to ask any questions, vent, or talk about anything. I am sure you'll find everyone here supportive and caring. I hope you TTC journey is short and sweet! Good luck!
I just wanted to welcome you and wish you luck! I am 29 and have been trying now for 8 months. I too have irregular cycles and just today started on day 77! I am looking forward to trying hard this month! I've got a good feeling.
I wish you the best of luck!
By the way, I wouldn't be the slightest bit upset if your dr offered Clomid! Many of us would love to get some, but most dr's make you wait until the year mark of trying.
