Last night I went to Walmart to try to find some cheap jeans since none of mine fit anymore. I am having a heck of a time losing weight I have cut out all drinks except water, I am eating kinda like I am on weight watchers but not strickly I have cut back on snacking I try and go to the gym 4-5 times a week. I didn't this week due to being sick and I still gain about a pound a week or two. So I tried on 6 pairs of jeans last night all different sizes and I couldn't button any of them I even tried on a pair of sweat pants last night and those didn't fit!!!!! I am so frustrated I just don't know what else to do I don't eat huge portions. My poor husband last night didn't know what to do I just couldn't stop crying.

I understand completely!! I have been going through the same thing and doing the same thing you are (modified Weight Watchers). The only thing that is missing from this "diet" is exercise for me. I used to be a workout junkie, but now I don't have time to go to the gym!

It looks like you are coming off or still on your period. That can play a HUGE factor in bloating! Or, it could just be one of those bad shopping trips. Try not to stress about it too much...maybe try going again in a few days to see if you aren't as bloated.

give it time. we women are cursed with bodies that hold on to fat reserves in the event we get pregnant or need to feed babies during a 'tough' time. that would be great if we were in a developing nation, but here in the US, that means it is next to impossible to lose weight!!! you CAN do it, we believe in you - just trust in yourself and don't lose hope.

Like Rachel said, give it time! I know thats not what we want (as girls especially me when I go on a diet I want those smaller jeans...NOW! lol) It will work sweetie! When I was younger I used to drink sooooo much soda and stopped the soda alone (no other restrictions, no working out, no change of eating habits) and I lost 10pounds!! BUT it took alot of time, like I would say 4-5 months, to start to see my results! But I felt sooooo much better about myself! Good Luck! It will happen!!

Just curious as to how many times a day you eat... you said you cut out snacking. Studies have shown that you can most effectively lose weight/maintain a healthy weight by eating 5-6 times a day with the majority of calories being taken in at breakfast. Basically eat a healthy breakfast then have an apple or something a couple of hours later, then have lunch (but nothing too big) and have some veggies a couple of hours after that then have dinner (should actually be smaller than lunch was) and maybe have some crackers and cheese or something a little while after dinner.

The idea is that you have all of your calories earlier in the day so you can work them off and you keep your metabolism up all day with the frequent eating rather than eating and letting your metabolism shut back down before your next meal.

Sorry about the jeans incident. That's why I stopped shopping. I haven't bought new clothes in nearly a year and even those were gifts.

I guess I should have said the bad snacking I have cut out. I try and have a snack between breakfast and lunch and then one again before dinner like cottage cheese or a fruit but the snack between breakfast and lunch can be hard since I work at a very busy dr office we don't get a 15 min break so it can be hard I have snuck it under my desk before but I don't get to it everyday.

Hugs! That stinks! I had that problem when i went to buy jeans the last time, i was so sad to find out the size i have to wear (which fits in the waist but i have super skinny thighs so they dont fit properly, ugh). I might go buy a new pair and i'm dreading it even though i've lost a couple lbs! I'm afraid ill still have to buy the same size i'm in now.

I'm sorry you had a hard time!! I'm pretty sure we all know what it's like to go shopping and have nothing fit us how we like. It sounds like you're eating healthy though and exercising. I was going to ask if you're eating enough though, because eating too little actually doesn't help people lose. Sometimes it just takes time though. Hang in there!
