This is off topic.. but I wanted to share some pix from the torch relay. It came through my town last night and the city put on a big to-do for it. I almost didn't go, but I'm really glad I did! It's neat to experience a part of history like that.


I don't know this family, so I blurred their faces. I just wanted a shot of the torch with the bearers. This is one of the torches that was already used during the relay, not the one that was being carried at the event.

I love how this turned out.. totally random! The bearer is pretty much clear while everyone else look like they're in motion.


Crowd shot. I just wanted to get a pic of how many people were around. This is just a small portion of the estimated 20,000 in attendance!

DH and I are going downtown for the Opening Ceremony on Friday! Well...we're not going to the opening ceremony, but wanna be around to check everything out the first night!

I'm so glad that you went. I only saw the torch for a moment as it ran by me - but I did get to hold it later!
