Hi all,

I'm a newbie here, looking for some advice!

I'm on CD 32, I should have gotten my period last Saturday, but nothing yet. Could I be pregnant? I went to the dentist yesterday and the hygienist commented on my abnormally bleeding gums and asked if I was pregnant, apparently that's one of the early signs. She remarked that the only other reasons for bleeding gums is a deficiency in Vitamin A and C (which is impossible because I take a multi-vitamin and get lots of fruit in my diet). I just started tracking my BBT this month and DH and I have done the baby dance twice during a "fertile period", according to Fertility Friend. Am I getting too excited here? Could it be that easy or maybe my period is simply late? When should I do a home pregnancy test?

Thanks for any comments or suggestions!

Mrs. Simpson

First off Hi and to JM and to the TTC #1 board!!!!

Did Fertility Friend confirm your ovulation? If so, it sounds promising since the time from ovulation until your period shows is typically around 2 weeks (give or take a day or two). Bleeding gums is one of the early pregnancy signs too. You should be able to take a pregnancy test at anytime since you are four days late - although some ladies do take longer to show up positive - but I say go and get one!!!!!! Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks DreamChaser!

I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers, that's for sure!

FertilityFriend didn't confirm ovulation though, it could be because I have a weird schedule and get up at different times in the morning for work, therefore I can't take my temp at the same time every day...so, I don't even know if I ovulated! Crazy! I'm trying not to get too excited, only because my last period on March 25 came directly on top of a yeast infection and a trip to Las Vegas...yeast inf. and periods are not nice combinations...let me tell you...so, I'm wondering if the trip might have made me a little wonky...usually my periods are pretty regular, even after I went off the Pill back in October.

Okay, I am talking too much!

I think I'll wait until the weekend coming to test, that will make it a whole week of my period being late. Those pregnancy tests are expensive....lol...

Thanks for the welcome!

Oh dear!!! Will you POAS already?? I was on CD25 and got my BFP. I am sure that you being on CD32 could very well get a BFP too!!!

The dollar stores sell pregnancy tests for $1. I have used them in the past and they are pretty accurate, and heck, they are only $1!!!

Please keep us posted!!!

Go to a dollar tree and get some! You need to POAS!! (pee on a stick) I don't think your trip would have set back af this month. Hey, I had a yeast inf- and af at the same time too last month! Weird. Anyways. Af is only set off due to the ovulation being set back. Typically ovulation is set back by stress. were you stressed at all? If not go POAS and come back and tell us. Oh yeah, Welcome!!

Welcome to JM, How could you not be POAS right now, I would be going crazy if I was that late. If you do temp at different times in the morning, its completely possible for FF to not detect when you O, do you have any empty dots on your chart? Can you place a link to your chart so that we can look at it? I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get a beautiful BFP when you test! Keep us posted! (((((((Babyvibes))))))) Marilyn

Hello, and welcome to JM. I can't believe you haven't tested yet. Yeah, as you can see, the Dollar Tree feeds some addictions to some of the POAS addicts on here. LOL. It's cheap, and I think they're pretty reliable. If you want to wait to test this weekend, then by all mean, wait, but you'll keep us all waiting to hear the results, and some of us can't wait that long. LOL, j/k. good luck.

I agree with the girls, you should POAS right now! I ovulated on Cd 21 and got my positive test on CD32!!!!

In my case I took a first response and the test line was so faint that I thought I was imagining things. So me and my husband ran right back out and picked up the clear blue easy digital test. It was about $10 at walmart. I didn't let not an hour go by. I POAS as soon as we got back in the house. In about 30 sec it gave me the positive.

Good luck to you!

Oh and about the bleeding gums, that's how I knew I was pregnant both times. If your gums bleed from just passing the toothbrush by them, you're preggers!

AAAAHHH! Okay! I will POAS as soon as possible...lol...I just don't want to get too excited, you know?

I was kidding about the cost...it's not that, I'm just nervous...this is our first kick at the can and I'll be amazed if I'm pregnant...and so will DH!

My SIL is preggers with twins right now, due in July...it would be crazy if I had a baby as well...

Thanks to everyone! I'll keep you posted!

Meredith
