Hello everyone!
I'm new and very interested in what you ladies think about conception 'strategies'. I've been reading and there are various recommendations offered to increase the chances of conceiving. If you were to offer advice to another woman trying to conceive, what would be your top two tips?

Welcome to JM!

I am ttc#1, and have not been successful yet. I would say that my best advice given on my experiences and reading would be:

1. Listen to your body and not all of the other crap: OPK, Temp, etc.
2. Enjoy it and don't have baby making turn into a chore.

best wishes for BFP's!

Nicole

I would say:

1-Monitor your BBT each cycle so that you know around when you ovulate. I always thought I would ovulate on day 14 but after monitoring my BBT and using OPK tests I realized that I actually Ovulate on day 19. If I hadnt monitored I would have continued to BD on or before day 14 and probably would never have conceived.

2-After you BD make sure you put your legs up in the air when lying down. Put a pillow or cushion under your hips for around 20 mins. This way you are helping the sperm go deeper inside you. And try to have orgasm right after BD'ing. It helps suck the sperm in deeper.

I used these two techniques this month for the first time and I am pregnant. Good luck and hope this helps!!

I agree with Neo. I use an OPK, only because I've been successful with them.

I especially agree with #2. I made sure to have the "big O" afterwards to help with the swimmers. I also put a couple of pillows under my hips for about 30 minutes after bding. I conceived doing those things!! Unfortunately mc'd at 5 wks, but will DEFINITELY do those things again the next time we try.
