I have been reading some of the topics and journals. I have seen people talk about talking prenatal vitamins and baby asprin. Now I have never met anyone TTC. Most of my family members are because of surprises. So I was wondering if that is recommend? I have about 3 months til DH gets back from deployment. We want to try for a baby right away. So in these next three months I plan on doing everything I know to get my body ready. I am going to stary excersicing and eating healthier. So my question: Is it recommend to start talking prenatal vitamins and baby asprin? Is there anything else that is recommended?

Thanks for taking the time to help
Amber

Definitely start taking the prenatal vitamins right away because it can take a while for some things like folic acid to build up in your system. For the baby aspirin I don't think it's exactly recommended but it also can't hurt to take it. I take it and I know a lot of other ladies on here do also. I think as long as you don't have any health conditions that even a mild blood thinner would complicate that it should be fine. I hope the 3 months go fast for you!

Taking prenatal vitamins will definitely be good for you. I started taking them a month or so before we started TTC. Best of luck to you!

I agree with the other girls, for sure prenatals! I might try the baby asprin next cycle if I have don't see my BFP. Otherwise I'm just cutting caffine, alcohol, and fatty foods! Good Luck!

Definitely start on the prenatals. Three months in advance is a perfect time to start them! I'm not sure about baby asprin, I know some girls here use it, but I have no experience in it.

Another thing I did to get ready was to cut caffeine out of my diet a couple months in advance. I found that was REALLY hard, and it took my body a while to adjust to it and I was glad to be done with that transition before I started TTC.

Yeah you should start on the prenatals.
The women who are taking baby aspirin are usually doing it on the recommendation of a doctor because of repeated miscarriages. I don't think there's any reason to take it if you haven't had such problems, and in any case speak to your doctor first.

Yep, start on the prenatals. I found that when I tried taking them (my doc had given me about 8 different sample packs), that I never found one that worked well with my tummy, no matter what I did. So DH and I both take One a Day - we cleared it with the doc first, though. They have the same amount of folic acid as the prenatals, and that was most important. I also just recently started taking baby aspirin. Not at the reco of my doc (though my RE said it was fine) - and for no specific reason, just one of those "can't hurt" things.

You have the right mindset, getting your body as ready as you can before DH returns - getting on a vitamin regime, and getting healthy are 2 great ways to start!!

You've gotten great advice so I just wanted to say it's great that you are preparing yourself in advance. Before we started TTC, I was in the Waiting to Try to Conceive board and there are some great ladies there in the same boat you are. Good luck!
