Hello,

AF arrived yesterday...was sad, let down and emotional...yet today I woke up feeling positive and ready to give January my all! (Funny how we can change from 1 day to the next, hey?)

So here is my action plan for this month:

CD 1= 04 Jan

Since I will only start temping/charting tomorrow (when my thermometer arrives in the mail)...I'm not sure if I will be able to pin point 'O' this first cycle. I'll also be using OPKs for the first time this cycle.

We plan to DTD everyday from CD 9 until 17 (yeah it seems very long, lol...but my cycle in Nov was 25 days, and 28 in Dec, so I want to be EXTRA sure!)

We will be using preseed, but how often do you think we should use this? (first cycle with preseed too!)

I plan to test only on 26th Jan (if I have enough willpower!) with FRER.

Any advice?

Sounds like a good plan. I hope DH has the stamina to BD from day 9 to 17! I used preseed for the first time this cycle and I loved it! I filled the tube up to the 1 1/2 mark and it worked perfectly! My DH and I used the applicator around my fertile days and then just used the lubrication without the applicator for my not as fertile days (after I O'd). Using OPK's will help you determine when LH surge is present (hopefully O will show shortly after your postive) and then temping will hopefully confirm O. Good luck!

Good luck! You should still be able to pinpoint O. All you really need is 6 temps prior to O and of course temps after O to get a good coverline and O confirmation.

You remind me so much of myself. Got Period, had meltdown, felt rejuvinated, started a new action plan! I think yours sounds good! I am sooo nervous about not enough BD that we are doing it every other day then everyday though O and a few days after so probably like 6 days in a row and every other day before and after my fertile time, if that makes sense

I read an article the other day that atually said it's most important to BD on the days where you have the most EWCM because it's SO helpful to the sperm. So we're going to use preseed probably everyday of the fertile period. I plan to only use 1.5 grams because the one time I used it before I used 3 grams and it was way too much!

Good Luck to us!!!!!!!!!! Want to be in the october DD club with you sooo bad! My cycles are 30 days with AF due on Jan 28 - I probably can't hold out not testing until then but I'm going to try bc I only have 2 internet cheapie tests left!

Also it will be interesting to see our charts since we are both first time charters...I'm just hoping its clear enough to pinpoint O!

Sounds like a great plan!!! I only use Preseed around my fertile time and bd everyday during that time as well.

Hi Adrienne,

I was not sure if I'd pin-point O...not because of too few temps...just cos I'm not sure if I'll get the charting right!!! It still seems kinda confusing for me!

Josie:

Thanks alot for the words of encouragement! Fingers crossed for our BFP this month!!

I must say, that since joining this forum, (only a few days ago!!!!) I've learned so much, found so much wisdom, and got so much encouragement!

I dont know how some woman manage to do this without this kind of help!

Thanks everyone )) (that me, being all emotional again! lol)

I think you have a great plan! GL on BD every day

I haven't used preseed myself, but I think you've been pointed in the right direction from other ladies that have. We use Pre Conceive, which is probably very similar, but it doesn't have an applicator or anything...just a little bottle. When I first started temping/charting 3 years ago, it took me a couple cycles to get it right, but even then, I was still pretty much able to determine my O date, so hopefully you'll have the same luck.

Glad you are enjoying our little world!

temping is pretty simple once once your get in a routine. Just make sure to wake (or set your alarm for an earlier time) at the same time every morning (i set my temp time at 6 and go back to sleep till my 730 alarm goes off). If you have a smart phone defiantly download the fertility friend app! or just jot down your temp in the morning and enter it on the computer later to fertility friend! I love the site and it makes it super easy! your plan sounds about like mine and my AF will be due about the 30th of jan so we are pretty close together! GL and lots of baby dust!

I couldn't agree more, that app is so handy and easy to use.

Thanks Brandy! That is super helpful. I started temping on New Years Day and was hungover so I tempted at like 10AM - then the next day at like 8 AM and just now consistently at 445 AM since that's when we go to the gym 3 times a week. My chart looks wacky so far but I have confidence it will become more clear as I approach O.

I updated my siggy for you chart stalkers

This site is definitely awesome! I also use the FF mobile app (for android) and find it very helpful. I temp, then record it on my phone, and put it in the computer when I wake up for real!

You can sync the temps right from the app. When you're on the main calendar page, there is a button at the bottom that says "Sync" press that and then tap "Save Data" to send the data from your phone to the online site. To send info from your computer to the app, tap "Import Data" instead.

hey another thing to help you with the whole charting thing is a book called Taking Control of your Fertility! its a AWESOME book!!! you should pick it up! TONS of GOOD info in there!!! and like some of the other ladies said it all sounds sooooooooooo confusing at first but then you get a hang of it... and you can always come on here and ask questions! I know I still need to ask questions!

I JUST picked my copy of this up from the library. I had requested it and it took a few weeks - but I've already learned stuff (not just specfically about TTC but about learning how my body works). It seems like a great source of info!
