The packaging on my OPK's says to dip the strip for three seconds. Usually they come out fine, but occasionally I'll get one that looks a bit funny. Not as if it's faulty, but like the control line is a bit lighter than usual or partially faded. Is this normal, or should I try dipping it for a couple extra seconds? I don't want to over-saturate the test, but I've heard it's pretty hard to do that.

Thanks in advance for any tips! I'm really looking forward to seeing a positive result one of these days!

I usually hold my for 3 long seconds. I can't imagine that holding for even 5 seconds would be a problem.

I have noticed that as well...so I don't have an answer for you, other than I usually hold mine in for 3-5 seconds and it's never been an issue!

GL!

I do the same...hold it for 3 long seconds. You can also try to dip a second one.

I do the 1-Missisippi, 2-Mississippi kind of counting and then hold for a beat before taking it out.
