So, I am new to charting. I started this month, as soon as I got the thermometer (it annoys the hell out of me) but it was late, on day 9 of my cycle.
Please look at my chart - FF has put crosshairs in..... I sooooo want them to be right! Do you think they could be right? Do you think they will change again since they are dotted? I don't understand how it works.
If it is right then I didn't miss the egg and I have a real chance this cycle....

It looks right to me! What were the dotted temps from? Your last day of fertile CM was CD 12, so an O on CD 13 makes sense! The dotted crosshairs are likely because you don't have a +OPK (that's why I had dotted last cycle) and you don't have many pre-O temps to establish a clear pattern. I think it's safe to say you have a good chance this month of having caught that eggie!

Shall I stop testing with OKP's?? Since I ovulated on CD16 last month I think maybe I should test with an OKP today - just to be sure - and then stop? What do you ladies think?

Good luck! I hope you caught that egg! I can't answer the OPK question for you. I stopped using them when I thought I O'd, but I think I only geared up to O and didn't. But that happened when I wasn't charting, now that I am, I would likely stop.

Nina, your chart looks great and I think it is dead on for your O. I would temp for a couple more days to ensure it stays up and then quit doing opk's. Are they getting lighter since when FF says you o'd?

The dotted temps were because I didn't get up at my normal time. Also I was travelling and sleeping in different environments and temperatures.....

The look darker..... not really sure about them at all! What do you think? I missed CD11 completely and CD12 was taken much later than normal.....
Maybe CD12 was my surge day, but earlier in the day so I missed it. That's what I am hoping. But why would yesterdays look dark again?

Oh, ok. The temps definitely look like O. Since the CD 15 OPK looks a little darker than CD 14 I'd probably test another day or two to see if it's getting lighter. I like to follow mine all the way back down just to be safe, but it's not necessary.

Looks good to me, and I agree with the other ladies! I would keep using OPK's but that's just me! I want to be 100% sure. Good Luck!

Thanks... I will keep using them.... but at what point do I stop? Will they really go back down to nothing?

Ditto what the other ladies said - I would keep testing. Mine most certainly go back down to nothing, it becomes very clear when they are back to negative! Good luck!

My first cycle it went back down to having no second line at all, but this last cycle I always had a bit of a line, but it was very faint. I heard that the latter is more normal.

Well I hope it get's negative enough for me to stop to wanting to test and to feel sure that I did indeed already ovulate!
I must mention that it takes so long for the line to come up.... is that relevant at all? Now I just pee on it, but it in a bag and look at it when I get home from work!!!

FYI - My OPKs always looked darker after they had dried, sometimes looking positive after they were dry (even though they were negative while still wet).

Hi,
I also just got dotted crosshairs on my chart.
FF says its because other fertility symtoms were not met.
Its true, I never had a + OPK this cycle, and I didnt notice eggwhite CM this month.
But i'm pretty sure I O'd on CD 14, and so is Fertility friend.
I dont think the dotted crosshairs mean that much... but since you usually O a bit later, I would keep testing on the OPKs.
Just be sure to test more than once a day, as I seem to have missed it!

I think it may be relevant, The OPKs I use ay not to read the results later than 30 minutes after...

Okay - read after 25 mins then - do you think that is the key?
I think I am done testing with OKPs for this month. Since I have only been testing with them for two cycles.... as for Oing later - we only have one to go off - and since I am now on CD17 I think I can pretty safely say I've Od...... Fx'd.
Martinchick - Thanks for your help! - Ohhhh and it looks like we are almost cycle buddies!!! I wanted to look at your chart - but your siggie doesn't link me there.....

I wouldn't rely on results after the time limit or waiting until they are dry. As they dry the colors change but that doesn't the mean the results change too if that makes sense? Good luck!
