DH and i have been TTC #1 for about 3 yrs with medical assistance and i think we have been through it all. We have decided that we will try it our way this time. I have been charting my BBT for 2 months and this wi make 3. I've had a hard time understanding it because its always up and down but maybe I will get it right this time. Also I am going to attempt the "just relax and it will happen" approach that is always easier said than done and tonight we bought an OPK. I'm only on CD8 but will start using the kit on CD11. I am sure I will be needing explanations and help trying to figure it out since we've always talked to the Dr. I am staying hopeful that maybe this approach works. if not yhe first try maybe in a couple when i can figure it out :-) wish me luck

Good luck! I hope the charting helps you. If you're not sure when you ovulate, you might want to start a bit earlier, for example, when I first started using OPKs, I couldn't get a positive, until I realized that I usually ovulate on CD 11/12 so I get a positive on 10/11. I was an early O'er. So if you're like me, there is a chance you'll get a positive on CD10. Just a thought If you have a rough idea of when you ovulate then don't worry about it! Feel free to ask away!

Good luck with this new part of your journey! I know lots of women have luck with ttc after just taking it easy, so I really hope you are one of those. As far as the OPKs go. I would definitely consider taking more than one starting at about cd10. I had good luck taking mine around two in the afternoon and then just doing that one per day until it showed that I Oed. Best wishes to you! We are here with any questions you might have

I'm an early Oer, too. I would have completely missed my O if I had waited until CD 10 to start taking OPKs. I start taking OPKs at CD 7.

Hi There. This is one of my favorite boards and I frequented it often during the past 6 mo or so while trying to TTC.

The first time I started charting and using OPK's together, I realized that I ovulated much earlier than I thought, and we got our BFP the same month!

Good Luck, I will keep you in my T&P's that you see your BFP soon!

This is such a fabulous thread and the ladies here are amazing!

Good luck! If you start a chart on Fertility Friend and link it in your siggy, we can stalk you!
