So I know a few of you here go to an acupunturist (Coley/Nikki specifically)...and our RE's office has an acupuncturist on iste. So I called and made my first appointment today!! The appiontment is set for Saturday the 11 of February at 11 a.m.

I need to call insurance to see if it's covered or not...she said, 3 per month will run me $285!!

BUT I do have my FSA (flexible spending account) which they do accept.

Isn't acupuncture supposed to help with weight loss as well??? I went back to low carb last week (cold turkey, mind you...) because in order to be able to do IVF my doc wants me in a "healthy BMI". which means to re-lose the 33 pounds I lost 2 years ago ... again.

anyways - any info on what acupunture entails would be great!

Acupuncture can help you lose weight but they may not treat for more than 1 "issue" at a time depending on the practitioner.

I have done acupuncture off and on a few times and did get pregnant the first time I was using it. Unfortunately I miscarried and had stopped going once I found out I was pg and have wondered "what if I had kept going" ever since.

If you can afford it and have coverage I definitely think it's worth trying!
