So our donor.... I called him Sunday and asked him if we could stop by on our way from home that way he could talk to Terra and I could drop off some cups... He said sure, no problem!!! Well, I call him on my way home from work on Monday and he says to me, "I have got a lot of stuff to do, maybe some other time." Some other time???!!!!! What?! AFTER I O???? Ugghhhh, I'm so mad. I am starting to see now.... that we probably cannot depend on him...

Go with your first instincts - drop this guy (as donor) and go the other route. Waaaay safer, girl.

I'm done. We were excited about having a known donor... but this is not something I'm willing to play around with.

That's ok! We are going to continue with the foster/adoption process and the anonymous donor sperm!

We talked about it... and well... I think we are both just scared of the unknown. But to me... this process is the same as TTC, just in our own way. Both of the outcomes are children... but we are still going to do the donor sperm too

Wow I'm sorry he put you through that! I am in NO way defending him but does he not understand how the ttc process works and the timing? I'm not suggesting you tell him whatsoever, just a thought... I'm glad you learned of this now because who knows what that could lead to down the road!
Ultimately this is about you and Terra and your future children and what is best for all of you

How frustrating. I agree that you should go with your gut feeling on this one! Maybe it's best that you decided this now before things got more 'complicated'? Glad you're feeling good about your new plan!

Thanks girls! We are lookin at a new apartment tomorrow that will be approved by the state!! So adopted or our own.... Our baby's gonna have their own room and bathroom!!

That sucks that it didn't work out but at least this way you are guaranteed to have a good supply of swimmers when you need them. And if you guys are still friends he could always be an uncle to have a male figure around later on.
