Ok ladies, I just had a shower, and I am fed up with my hair. I have long-ish hair (used to be down to my waist, but chopped/donated it after our wedding). Growing it back out now, and it's reasonably long. Problem is, no matter what I try, i cannot for the life of me find a conditioner that is a good detangler! I've tried just about everything - conditioners, 2-in-1s, sprays, leave-ins, you name it! Granted, I know of one that I love, but these days, with me not working and paying for school, and now with all the expense of IVF, i really can't justify spending the $$ on an expensive hair product. Especially since the only ones who see me are animals
So, any recommendations for a reasonably inexpensive conditioner that detangles well??

Hmm... my hair can't just have any regular shampoo, I have to buy the good stuff if I want it to look decent, which STINKS. I love Matrix Sleek. It.smells.like.Heaven.
Sorry, I'm not much help. Loreal products always work for me if I need a cheap fix.

Thanks! Yep, I know how you feel - DH still will pretty much only use fancy products...and to be honest, they work SO much better. Since I pretty much spend all my time with animals, I don't really want to spend the extra on a good product these days (in a pinch I use his). Totally get what you mean, though

I used the new matrix conditioner spray. It like $16 but it lasts a long time.

NOTHING works on my hair...except Dove.
I have the insane frizzies without it (or any other product)..but dove makes my life less frizzy and soo easy to detangle. Love it. It's not as cheap as some, but definitely not as expensive as salon products.

Really? Dove? Any particular kind? I use Dove body wash from time to time and love it!

I used to use the one for regular hair, but they changed them and I use the one with the blue label.. (well, it's a white label, but it's got blue/silver on it..not the green/silver one).
I use both the shampoo and the conditioner (not a 2 in 1 tho) and I love how my hair feels after it. Smooth, but not greasy

I also use a Dove therapy conditioner. It is the one that when you squeeze it out it has a strip of white and a strip of gold.

I have super long crazy hair. I use dove nourishing oil care (gold label), suave professionals sleek when I am feeling particularly cheap or broke, tresemme smoothing, and last but not least, when I want to get good quality without buying expensive salon stuff, i get john freida frizz ease conditioner and it is amazing. It is only like 5 bucks for a 10 oz tube so it isn't super expensive but feels oh so good makes it way easier for me to brush and detangles and defrizzes.

It's so funny how people are so different. I can NOT use Dove. The shampoo gives me a rash all over!!! I don't know what's up with that!

Wow - thanks ladies - I'm going to give Dove a try! One we are using now, both DH and I, he LOVES and I HATE. Everyone is different!

I'm gonna be the odd one out here, but I started using a 1:1 mix of apple cider vinegar and water as a conditioner, and it works so well my hair is combed out before I even leave the shower!
