First off, I'm new to this site so hello to everyone!

Now to the question.. i am 4-5 dpo and I Oed lated this cycle than normal.. I just recently started checking my cervix everyday. Right before O it was high, soft, and open. 1-2 dpo it was High, Medium, Closed. Yesderday it was low, firm, closed. and today it was High, Firm, and I couldn't find the part where you would say open or closed. I tried to reach as far as I could in there and feel all around for it, but couldn't find it. What does this mean? And is it normal for your cervix to go back high after it has come back down after O?

I'll try to help if I can... Personally, I've always struggled with the whole Open/Closed thing, so I don't bother with it any longer. I focus mainly on height and texture, which will fluctuate throughout your TWW (two week wait).

Your cervix won't really tell you anything as far as pregnancy possibilities. There have been pg girls who have had every cervical position and texture there is, so it doesn't really give you anything concrete.

The main things I seem to be able to rely on is that it does get higher the closer I get to ovulation and it does drop low and become quite firm before AF arrives. Everything in between those times doesn't really seem to mean much.

I've also heard that it can be different depending on time of day and what you were doing, and we all learned ttc was so easy in high school!

That's true... So if you're tracking your cervical position and texture, you'll want to check at the same time every day.
