Since Easter is on Sunday, I thought it would be fun to make the trivia about Easter. Post your guesses below and tomorrow I will post the correct answers!

1. Which country brought the tradition of Easter Eggs?
Germany

2. What is the name of the best known Easter Bunny in North America?
Peter. Peter Cottontail is actually from a story by Beatrice Potter in 1902. It was not until later he became the Easter Bunny.

3. On Easter what do you have to have if you want good luck in the coming year? You have to wear a new piece of clothing - Women would often purchase new bonnets for the occasion.

4. Where would you go see the world's largest chocolate bunny?
South Africa - The rabbit is carved to look like Duracell Rabbit. The world's large rabbit weighs 2721 kilos - That's about 3 tons of chocolate!

5. Why an Easter bunny rabbit and not a hare?
In earlier times the Easter bunny was associated with hares and not rabbits. Later on, Easter rabbits exchanged places with hares, as rabbits are said to be a symbol of fruitfulness and fertility. This interchange happened because rabbits reproduce very quickly. Moreover, rabbits are similar to hares and are very common everywhere. Christians changed the symbol to the Easter Bunny.

Good luck!

According to my sources (the internet and google ) Above are the answers I found!

Here are my guesses (and I didn't cheat - I guess that's pretty obvious based on my answers):
1. Ukraine (they have the 'worlds largest ukranian easter egg' out west so I figured they were pretty into them )
2. I didn't know Easter Bunnies had names! First name Easter. Last name Bunny.
3. No clue. My first thought was a rabbit's foot, but that seems morbid considering the holiday
4. Switzerland.
5. Rabbits are cuter than hares.

3. On Easter what do you have to have if you want good luck in the coming year? Cabbage??? (IDK that one)
4. Where would you go see the world's largest chocolate bunny? Canada
5. Why an Easter bunny rabbit and not a hare? Actually in the Germanic legend, it was a european hare (brown hare) that brought the eggs, but in the US, we granted the cottontail rabbit as the deliever of the eggs.

3. On Easter what do you have to have if you want good luck in the coming year? I think it's a new hat, or something new?
4. Where would you go see the world's largest chocolate bunny? I think I remember hearing Africa, but I have heard Brazil too
5. Why an Easter bunny rabbit and not a hare? It is a hare, actually. I learned that in my mythology class in college. It represents love and something else I can't remember.
