So this is my first cycle using OPKs.
I got a few - and my first + was a clearblue digi! I got a lovely staring back at me. So i kinda guessed that meant I O'd but then the other cheap OPks got loads darker today like really dark so when would you say I Od if i did or not and would you say I should BD tonight??
SO is feeling run down so had a night off last night but I really dont want to miss this eggy.

I know the hospital told me not to try this cycle but to be honest I think its better for me emotionally to be trying and keeping busy. They didnt even explain why I needed to miss a cycle before trying again.

Anyway what you guys think???

Typically a positive OPK means that you will O within the next 12-36 hours. If you are getting + on digis, then you are ready to go! The other ones are getting darker simply because you must be still within that 12-36 hour window. Get to it...i hate it when timing doesn't work (i.e. you don't feel well, etc.). Every doc will have a different view on whether you should wait or not...my RE said as long as AF came, I was free to try right away. I don't think there is a clear-cut rule on that, just your docs opinion. Unless you've had some major trauma from your experience, there probably isn't a good reason.

Good luck!!!

Ditto to what Karin said. When you have a + you will O 12-36 hours. You will have to watch your temps over the next couple of days to confirm. I say keep at it .

I also was give the go ahead to start ttc right away. I think it may depend on the situation and the doctor but I think it comes down to when you feel your ready.

Thanks Girlies!!
Well my loss wasnt traumatic or painful so I guess they were just saying it to be cautious.
Ive got period like pains this week is that related to Oing?? I never normally have them until AF is due. Part of me thinks its prob just trapped wind

Send a message via AIM to Ash
The OB doc I worked with in my clinical rotations this semester said that as long as you have a period, go for it. There isn't anything magical about waiting.
