Us having some sort of book club/ book review group?? I don't know whether many of you ladies like to read but I LOVE to! I got the idea from picture girl and katie posting pictures of her fave books, neither if which I'd heard of!
I'm always up for a good book recommendation and thought maybe we could do something linked with this??
Just putting the idea out there...let me know what you think!

Love it! I love to read, and when it's my turn for Picture Girl, I hope someone asks me to post a picture of our library

I think it's a great idea. Although, I am not a big reader anymore beyond the Internet  but I use to love to read, but ever since I finished college I have only read 1 book and that was Jenny McCarthy Belly laughs before my m/c.

I love to read, but often find myself at a loss for titles... This would be a great way to expand my reading list!!

Thats great - i pleased theres a few of us who are keen - How'd you think its best to arrange? A chat time etc is one idea but with me living is a completely different timezone to most of you it would make it difficult...
my other thought was something more along the lines of Picture Girl and we would nominate somone each week or every couple of days to give a couple of reviews of their fave books or books theyv recently read
Or...theres the good old fashioned book club where we pick a book every week/couple of weeks and then all post reviews/opinions/discussion etcs.
thoughts??

I quite prefer the idea of us taking turns picking a book, all reading it together and then once we're done... dishing about it. That feels more like a Book Club, to me...
Plus, if I'm being honest, and I don't know if anyone else is like this... but, if someone reviews a book that sounds interesting, there's a good chance I'll write down the title, meaning to read it... and I'll forget. But if we're all reading it at the same time... then I'll actually READ it!

I'm with Nikki. I like the idea of a good old fashioned book club. LOVE the idea actually. I keep meaning to join a book club IRL but it just hasn't happened yet.

I am all for the old fashioned book club idea as well. We can try that for a while, and if it's not working out (we all have different/crazy schedules), we can move to a simple "just review a good book you read" thread...

good question dawn...well timezone wise I think i'm 5 hours ahead of you ladies that are EST. I'm GMT +1 hour at the moment (british summertime). So unless its a weekend i'm not sure when we'd fit in a chat time that everyone could make?
Bear with me as im not 100% sure about how these msg boards work but could we do it like picture girl it set up and then do a new message thread for each book? if this is totally  please let me know!
