My husband and I have bee trying to get pregnant for 3 months now. I know it's not very long considering but I'm getting discouraged. He's 27 and I'm 26 healthy. I think I had a chemical pregnancy in April. My normal 29 day cycle was a 26 day in May. We tried very hard this month. I'm 5 days today till my expected period and took a test. Not with morning urine and the second line was so faint that I had to take the test apart and look at it. almost threw it away. Its a pink line but barley there. Can I get some advice!? Could I be pregnant?

Also, I have lots of (sorry for the grossness) white creamy-ish discharge that seems to be in little blobs. No other symptoms I ca think of. A little cramping.

Thank-you,

Maxine

HI Maxine,
I know it's hard not to get discouraged, but remember that it can take normal, healthy couples a year to get pregnant. For me, it's been a 3 1/2 year journey, and there are others on here with very long journey's as well. So, try and keep your head up, and hang in there.

About your test, what kind of test did you use? You are pretty early to be testing, but a positive result is not out of the question if you are pregnant. Creamy CM is a sign of early pregnancy as well. I would give it another few days, and take another test if AF hasn't arrived. If you are able, using a FRER, those are some of the most accurate tests you can buy.

If AF does not show up by the expected date, and you are testing negative, you may want to give it a week or so, then call your doctor. If you came off any form of birth control when you first started trying, it can take several cycles for your body to regulate. I was on BC for many, many years, and it took me about 4-5 cycles for my body to get in check.

If you have pictures of your test/future tests, once you get up to 10 posts, you can post pictures for us to see, if you need help trying to determine if they are positive or not. Additionally, there is another board called Am I Pregnant, which is full of stories like yours, and you may find a lot of help there as well.

I used a first response 5 day early test. What kind of test are you suggesting? Do you know where I can find one?

Thanks so much

I'm sorry. I don't know the 'lingo'

You already used the test I was going to suggest - a FRER is short for First Response Early Result...which it sounds like you've already used. If you have a pink line on that (and not a colorless/gray line which would be an evap), you may in fact be pregnant. I would test again tomorrow or the next day!

Did another test this morning. The second line is there and a bit more visible. I can see it without taking the strip out of the wand! What do you think it means? Should i get a digital est rom first response to confirm? Thanks Jen@firstave!

That's great, clear blue digis are usually what people get, seeing those words 'pregnant' is always great!

Yay for the light being darker today!

Everyone here will tell you (just like Karin did) it doesn't matter if you've been trying for three months or three years...it is frustrating when you want it now!

So I just wanted to re-iterate that and say good luck! Hopefully this is your month!!
