Do you collect anything? If so, what, for how long, describe your collection, and why you started?

DH and I collect NASCAR diecast, Hero Cards, trading cards, and other NASCAR items.

We are a bit obsessed with NASCAR our drivers. I love Jeff Gordon (and actually met him earlier this year!) and DH loves Dale Jr.

I collected some when I was younger but didn't have a big collection. We've gotten into collecting them pretty hard the last 2.5 years. We have around 250 1:24 Diecast cars. We have around 100 Hero Cards and around 300 or 400 trading cards.

I also collect Mustang items. I've been in love with Mustangs since I was around 10 years old. We both drive Mustangs as well. I've been collecting Mustang Diecast since I was about 14 or 15 but I only have about 12 Diecast.

I'm not much of collector, however since DH and I went to the same university. We have a lot of our alma mater's memorabilia. We have a bedroom dedicated to our university because of this!

LMAO Both!! I started out with 4 hens...a few months later upped it to 6...I can't have any more right now though. But we are looking at a 20 acre acreage and all I can think about is A. Having my horses at home, B. How many more chickens I can get, and C. How wonderful a home it is for a baby Oh and D. How much our dog will love the room to run!

I would like to get up to 20-30 hens so I could sell some happy, farm fresh eggs on the side

I collect junk

I collect foreign tea cups, but stopped when my grandparents stopped givimg them to me years ago...the fact that they gave them to me was what made them special.

I also collect Starbucks Bears. Its a nice collection, but I stopped the collection a couple years ago when they started changing the quality of the bears.

DH and I also collect ugly magnets and smashed pennies from wherever we go!

I collect Barbie Dolls! I have about 30 now, I used to have more, but I've sold some along the way (you know, broke out of college adult with no job...) but they are collectables in their boxes.

I've been collecting them since I was a teen. My faves include the Addams Family barbie/ken set - the Munsters barbie/ken set - the "tango" barbie/ken set...and I also have two Bob Mackies (out of their box) the Le Pepillion and the Radiant Redhead.

Why did I start? I've always loved barbie! lol

I also collect my family history. I have SO much geneaology information on both my mother's and father's family...I've been collecting it for like 7 or 8 years now...I swear ONE DAY I [I]will/I] put it in a book for everyone - it's just never ending information!

I am actually related to Jimmy Hoffa (notorious Labor Union Leader...) he is my 2nd cousin twice removed. His mother and my great-great grandfather were first cousins.

I started this after my grandfather (dad's dad) died...I knew that my uncle had all of my grandma and grandpa's photo albums - so I went to his house one night and was wanting to scan them all into my computer...12 FULL photo albums of my grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great aunts/uncles, great-great grandparents (and I even have ONE of a great-great-great grandmother from right around the time photographs were invented!!

But I found it so interesting and he also had a list of our history back 9 generations to my great-X-9th grandfather and I've been obsesed ever since. I'm also into going to graveyards to find my family history...I need to do more of that - but on my mom's side, we found her great-grandparents (my great-great) on one side and then her great-great (my Gx3 grandparents) on her other side! Seriously graveyards are awesome! (if anyone's interested, you should check out Find A Grave - Millions of Cemetery Records)

That is neat, Keri-Ann! DH had a shot glass collection before we met, so we usually grab 1 or 2 when we travel.
