Don't remind me Karin.. LOL.. we only get 2 months of summer, really, so it's sad that it's now officially 1/4 over.

I have been dreading the end of summer since before it started. The only good thing about fall coming is football!

Lol I know nada about college sports. I only profess myself a football fan cause Reme cried when I said I wasn't. I much prefer to play sports to watching them.

We tried to go to deyoungs this weekend but it called for thunder. Ger we will try again this weekend it we don't have heat advisories.

I am so for the beginning of football season!!! I can't wait!

My dad has been a huge football fan my whole life, which is where I get it! For the past few years, we kept talking about doing football parties with members of the family, but it never happened.

Now that we're living back home with my folks, I'm really hoping we'll actually get it going. Either way, there will always be at least 4 of us watching the game together instead of just 2, so my mom and I are planning all sorts of foods we wanna make!

I'm not depressed about the idea of Autumn coming because it's one of my favorite seasons. I'm lucky to live in a location where I get to watch all of the leaves change, and it's just a beautiful time of year. It also puts me in mind of the holidays, family, good food, etc.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not finished with Summer yet, although these heat waves ARE starting to test my patience ! I've got a BUTTLOAD more grill food to eat yet!! I being barefoot, so I'm not ready to have to put shoes back on again either!!

The large town next to us has a heat advisory.. but we do not. It's kinda weird, usually we all get them. But regardless, it's feels like 106 out there... I hope they call and say my car is ready! It has better AC than the van.

I love the summer and don't mind the heat. I hate the ice and the snow. Summer can stay as long as it likes, then turn to fall and then turn to spring!

I usually prefer the summer... but with it getting hotter and hotter each year, I'm starting to like it even less. it doesn't help that fall didn't arrive until Mid November, Winter started in December, and spring started in January!

Wow, it's been a week since anyone has posted in this thread. I'm guessing everyone is busy with vacations, work, etc...!

This week I have been cleaning like crazy as my mom, sister and niece are coming to visit this weekend. I'm very excited, as I love my niece to pieces. She's the smartest, cutest, thing (no, I swear I'm not biased! ). I can't wait for them to arrive. DH is out of town on business, but returns tomorrow. The cleaning is a great distraction, as I'm day 37 and no sign of AF! I can't wait for the witch to arrive!

How is everyone else's week going?

I thought about this thread yesterday, then I got distracted and forgot to go update it! Y'all know I've been super busy, but this week, I've got very little to do, relatively speaking! I have a bunch of admin-y type house stuff to do (errands and such), but other than that, not much! DH is out of town today and tomorrow, so I'm flying solo, which always allows me to get a lot done. Looking forward to a relaxing night on the couch tonight with my pups!

well... yesterday sucked. i ended up in tears at work because management is unclear of their standards and i think im doing things great and then they tell me im not. i have never had a boss say you are doing too much of a thorough job, let things slide so you are faster. we work in a compliance based industry! insane...

im in the 2WW, idk when AF will be due since I O-ed late, i didnt think i would and maybe i didnt and my body is being a jerk again. I'll probably start testing saturday because im insane.

DH got some great news, he got an interview next week for a position that is much closer to home and is a step up the career ladder. so excited for him!

I'm sorry about that Brianna! I've run into that a few times... and then when I've followed their new direction they've complained about that too. Drove me bonkers and I eventually didn't give a flying goose about the job.

(loss mentioned)

I'm still here, lurking doesn't happen easy for me. LOL. Been a rough couple of days for me, between the loss and finding out that I might not get home this year (3rd cancelled trip in 15 months, I'm starting to feel resentful) I've been a mess. We are doing everything we can to get me home, I can fly if I want but it'd cost just as much as gas would for the trip. If we can't drive I'll book a flight for this fall and just hope that any jobs I apply for will be understanding. I think going home for the Canadian Thanksgiving would be nice, since my birthday is the weekend after. The key would be though.. not telling anybody and surprising the lot of them. I just need a single accomplice to get me at the airport and drive me the hour to my grandparents. LOL
