Hello all. Last week I had an early MC. I tested positive the day after my missed period on a Sunday. On Monday I had bloodwork and a low hcg count (16). Wednesday I got bloodwork in the morning and my period later that day. My bloodwork showed an hcg of 4.
The NP told me to wait a cycle before trying and on Thursday I go in for a HSG. I would likely ovulate early next week. Should I talk to my gyno about wanting to try this month if I do in fact ovulate. I figure I was so early on in the pregnancy that maybe she will say it is ok to try? Anyone been in a similar situation? I have a couple friends that got BFP the month after they miscarried.

Please help.

HI and welcome! I'm Karin, one of the co-hosts here. I'm sorry about your early loss. Every doctor, OB, NP, etc, has their own opinion on whether a person should wait or not wait following a m/c. It all depends on your personal situation, and if there were any resulting complications. Following my loss, my OB said I was free and clear to try as soon as I got my next full period.

I don't see any harm in asking your doctor if it is ok to try this cycle. I also know several people who did, in fact, get pregnant the month after they m/c. The worst your doctor could say is "no", so I don't think it hurts to ask.

Good luck!
