Does your temperature tell you anything about whether your pregnant or not. I am 6 DPO, and I have continued to take my basal temperature every morning. I just wondered if I should be looking for any changes.
Also, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 months. Is that a long time? Just wondering how long everyone out there has been trying.

Thanks for the info!

I think I read somewhere that it can take the average woman 6 months to conceive but they don't start to worry if there is anything wrong until a couple has been trying for up to a year. But everyone is different.

As far as charting your temps goes - I have never done that. I have been using a fertility monitor to track my ovulation. But I think that if you are pregnant there is something about your temp staying high and not dropping. But I am sure someone else can give you more accurate info. Good luck!!!

teacher4,

your temp will stay high above your coverline until the day before or the day of AF where it will decline drastically that morning. If on the day of expected AF, your temp is still above the coverline or it goes even higher than the last 3-4 temps then you are pregnant. If it stays high for 16-18 days past O then the experts say that you are difinately pregnant. I know it's hard to wait that long , but hang in there!! hope this helps!
