Ok, so I am trying to pump myself up for this cycle and I'm allowing myself to be excited that we WILL be pregnant next month!

One thing I've not "allowed" myself to do over the past 1 and a half (since we realized we were battling infertility...) was browse the baby sections...either online or in stores...but I'm allowing myself to get excited now! Thinking positive thoughts because I WILL be pregnant soon!

So on pinterest I've been goin CRAZY obsessing over baby stuff

My latest obsession is nursery colors. I think I've found exactly what we will be doing, as far as colors go...

I can't post a pic or a link here (i'm at work) but there's this GORGEOUS nursery which has gray - yes GRAY walls and the colors such as the very bold curtains and the crib set, etc...is pink. This could obviously work for blue as well. I am in LOVE with the idea of gray walls with the pink and blue being everywhere else!

Not sure yet what "theme" I will want to use...but so far I'm definitely obsessing over colors!

So I'm curious - what are your wishes for nursery colors?

YAY for being excited. I've had my registries and pinterest page going for months. LOL. I don't often look at nurseries on pinterest though, I find people just go over.

We rent, so there will be no painting involved in a nursery for us. We will probably have a blue and chocolate color. As girlie a blue as I can get while still being gender neutral. This is mostly because baby will share with Reme. Another option is Chocolate and mint green (Woody says that's because I love mint chocolate LOL).

I do think that even if we had the extra room, it'd still go blue. My infant car seat choice, and stroller are both black and blue. High chair, swing, pack and play.. they all match the infant which is blue... (one guess at my favorite color?). I may get Veto'd if we have a girl, because DH knows if he can talk me into pink, for a girl, we'll be done because I won't put a boy in all pink things (nothing against pink for boys, but I'd feel bad putting my baby boy in ALL pink stuff) and we wouldn't want to rebuy.. effectively putting us at one child, not two.

Oh.. and everything that can have ears, must have ears. Both Dh and Reme have a little obsession with baby things that have ears on them... I wanted a specific Rock and Play, and was shot down because the boys found them with ears...Bouncer too (so my choice of swing was veto'd as well, since the one I wanted was both swing and bouncer)... but gotta humor them a bit right?

We're renting, so we can't do an awful lot, the walls have to be cream, haha.

I have a lot of old furniture that my Nannu made me when I was a baby (bookcase, mini wardrobe with chest of drawers, bedside table), it's all in my Nanna's garage and I want to use them, but they are all due for a paint as I went a bit nuts with stickers on them when I was little.

I'm not one for "themed" rooms, so I guess anything goes.

I will do zebra themed if DH will let me. I zebras. If it's a girl then besides the obvious black and white the colors would be green and pink. If a boy maybe just more green. Haven't thought about it that much.

Omg! I am trying to talk DH in letting us do gray! I think it's a good neutral color and you can accent pinks or blues with it just fine!!!

I a, so excited that you are so pumped! Fx!

Can't say I've given it much thought but I don't think we'd have a theme of sorts.

I LOVE the grey idea, in fact although its totally different I'm thinking grey with purple/pink accents for my wedding! Althought grey bridesmaid dresses aren't commonly in grey so that may be a problem!

I love the idea of gray too! I think it would be nice for a boy or girl. Like you, I haven't looked at or purchased any baby items, for fear of jinxing me!

I can't wait to see your BFP this cycle!!!!!

I look at, and plan, but I refuse to buy anything. I have the baby announcement gift for DH.. but I didn't buy it, so i don't feel like I might jinx myself! I've always said I won't go baby crazy until I'm dang near due... but it's so hard!!

Keri-Ann that nursery color is gorgeous!!

Because we started out going to adopt through the foster care system and providing respite care for other foster families, we didn't have a choice but to get the nursery ready with EVERYTHING we'd need for a range of ages. So, I've gotten to pick out and buy everything thus far because a) we needed to have it, and b) we knew we were getting a girl. So, this is what I found that I LOVED (and still do, of course):

COCALO Baby : Nursery Collections : Girl : Sugar Plum

I loved that it has pink, green, and purple in it (my sister's favorite color was purple).

Then, we decided to TTC, and I know (based on the universe having a sense of humor) that if, by some miracle, I do conceive, it will most certainly be a boy. Then I've got a LOT of girl things to sell...

That nursery is super cute Keri-Ann. I have looked a nursery stuff, before I had my m/c, but I let myself look now and again these days I want a gray one as well, with some accents that are very gender neutral (like dark red/navy/yellow). Mine is going to be owl themed, because I LOVE owl themed nurseries DH doesn't know that yet - but I'm assuming he doesn't care
