Last cycle I had the u/s and labwork done on CD3. Results came back: great estrogen, elevated FSH (10.7 - I'm 28yo), and possibly low progesterone (short LP). I don't know why I've done this to myself but I started researching elevated FSH and am horrified at what I'm reading. My ob/gyn is not concerned - she says keep trying and take it easy - but it seems as if most women with an FSH level above 10 start exploring IVF!!!

Am I freaking out for no reason or do I need to start thinking about "unnatural" options?!?!?!?

I am feeling panicked - like I need to spring into action.

Waaah!!

I'm really sorry your having such a hard time unfortunately I dont know much about elevated FSH levels so cant give any advice. When are you due to go back and see your RE?

From what I can see, you were only just above 10, and that could easily have been a one-off result. Plus, if your RE isnt concerned, that sounds like a good thing.

Dr google can be more of a hinderence, than a help, alot of the time, although I understand completely the urge to look into it more.

and try not to panic (again, its easier said than done)

Thanks Jen - yes "dr. google" as you put it (lol) is often the bearer of bad (but not necessarily accurate news). Along those lines - webmd once diagnosed me with the PLAGUE! lol!

Anyway, I'm in my tww - I think something about the waiting/not knowing/not having any control over anything anymore turns me into a crazy person and I need to just relax and try a few more cycles. I've only been at this 3 cycles so I know I'm probably overreacting. Just helps to get those fears/frustrations out there sometimes, you know?

It can be totally frustrating...I wish TTC was super quick and easy.

My RE said the only time he gets a little concerned is if the FSH is 12 or over and gets worried if the number is around 15...so you are within the normal range.

I hope you don't have to worry about much longer b/c y'all caught the eggie this time around.

the plague!

Yep 2ww and TTC is very stressful, anything you can do to relax, from having a bath, reading a book or taking a walk, will help!

Hopefully your FSH isn't too high to conceive naturally. It's tough hearing that you may not be able to conceive naturally--going through that right now myself. But hang in there, we're here for you!!!!
