Took DH to the doc yesterday because he has been sick...found out that he has strep throat.

I've never had strep throat....but I think I have caught it from him this morning i woke up with my throat feeling like it is on fire, can't stop coughing and I'm really congested.

I probably won't be able to get to a doc until after New Year's Day. I'm hoping and praying it won't hurt my chances of getting preggo.

Oh no! There is nothing worse than being sick. I can commiserate with you because my husband came down with bronchitis while we were visiting his family for Christmas. Of course it was right when I could have been ovulating but he didn't feel like going at it at all. I managed to stay well until we came back home and now I have a killer cold. Ugh.

Feel better soon!

Ugh that sucks. I used to get strep all the time when I was a kid. If it gets bad at all you should just go to urgent care and get the antibiotics, leaving strep untreated can lead to some bad things. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sick this week too.

being sick shouldn't affect your chances of getting preggo, just make sure they give you something that's SAFE when you do get seen. True strep untreated is a bad bad thing. You seriously might want to consider an urgent care if you can swing it.

I haven't had it since I was a kid, but I do remember it sucking. I needed a pain killer injection one time!

I've actually known several girls who have gotten their BFPs in cycles they were sick during (including myself, though I was sick pre-O), so don't worry about that.

Strep throat is horrible! I've had it a couple times and I remember the high fevers and that it hurts to swallow. Feel better soon! Hopefully it won't affect your chance this month!

Thanks ladies

I'm feeling a little better and my fever is going down...I'm going to call my doc this morning to see if he can squeeze me in today if not there is an urgent care clinic down the road I will go to. Good news is it should be just $25 since I've met my deductible for the year b/c of surgery.

Went to the doc today and the strep test came back negative

He said I have a sinus infection....he gave me some antibiotics and told me to get some rest. Yahoo no strep!
