I know that a lot of us are at very different stages of our TTC journey, I'm just wondering just what you've done up to this point?

Things that directly correlate to TTC:
- Taking Basal Temperature and Charting
- Just bought some OPKs to start trying
- Tracking all symptoms
- PUTB post BDing
- BDing at least every other day for 2 weeks around O time

Other general attempts at healthy TTC
- Running/Jogging/Walking - DH and I both to get to our ideal weights
- Eating healthy - adding green smoothies, more fruits and veggies, and aiming for an overall healthy diet.
- Taking the prenatal vitamins every day
- Drink less alcohol and none from O to aunt flo
- Limit all caffeine to one small cup of coffee a day

Not sure if any of that is working but it is what we are going to continue to try I always feel better with a plan!!

So far I've done:

BBT charting (which I've given up, it caused me more stress)
CM charting
Pre-seed
Fertilitea/vitex (not doing anymore)
Extra B6
Extra Vit d
Prenatal
Aspirin (careful with this one!!!! only did 2 cycles)
Soy (being selective with this, it's hard on the thyroid)
Progesterone cream
Opk's
Digi opk's
Bladderwrack (thyroid support)
Hips up for 30 minutes (got a uti, won't do again)

ADDING: I've also done tussin meds a few cycles.

New - CoQ10 (for both of us)
New - Extra Vitamin C
New - Prenatal with more good stuff
New - Progesterone level test (doing this cycle)
New - Vitamin E (have to go buy, stupid amazon)
New - strictly missionary (just this cycle)

I am working on losing weight. I've finally gotten to a point where I'm not gaining anymore... just need our building to open the pool again so we can get in there. Since we're technically ntnp this cycle and next (basically not doing anything extreme lol) and then will be apart until June or July, I have that much time to drop as much weight as humanly possible and still be healthy while doing it.

I just stopped taking the BCP and I'm taking prenatal vitamins that my doctor prescribed for me. I've read What to Expect When You're Expecting, What to Expect The First Year, and What to Expect The Toddler Years. We are just staring out, so that's all I've done so far.

Everything! Ok, not everything, but most of what you said, except some of the herbs. I've also done, clomid, IUI and now I'm on to IVF. Hopefully, no one else will have to go the IVF route and everyone will get their BFPs au natural and very soon!

I noticed many of you ladies are taking Mucinex or Robitussin or low dose of aspirin. I think I know why, but could you explain why?

Also many of you are taking prenatal but also taking some of the vitamins in prenatal as well (ie. Folic Acid or Vitamin A-D), is there not enough already in the prenatal vitamin?

So I am currently taking prenatals and vitamin D

I used to take fish oil and red raspberry leaf but both gave me nasty heartburn. I have also done a couple of cycles taking Mucinex before O.

I have also done acupuncture for headache relief/general health/TTC and hope to get back into that next week. Also, DH has been taking a multi-vitamin for the last few months as well, to hopefully help if there is a sperm issue.

Sweety (sorry I don't know your real name) -
Mucinex and Robitussin (certain types only) make mucus less thick, so can, in certain cases, help the sperm get through the cervical mucus.

Aspirin (baby Aspirin) is supposed to increase blood flow to the uterus (since it is a mild anti-coagulent) and therefore make a better situation for the egg to implant. If you do this, you have to be careful because it can make you more easily bruise, less able to stop bleeding if you get cut, and you should stop taking it when you get your period. It does leave your system quickly, so if you are able to clear your system between cycles (i.e. not taking it until AF is over), there won't be cumulative effects. (according to my dad, the doctor)

I am taking Vitamin D in addition to my prenatals because most people in the North America don't get enough sun. Although we get enough to prevent nasty diseases, there is a positive correlation between increased Vitamin D and better immune function as well as better general overall health. I'm not sure why other people are taking other things, but hopefully people can weigh in.

Hi Sweety,

Many women take Mucinex or Robitussin to increase their cervical mucus. Many women take low dose aspirin to increase the blood flow to their uterus (it is supposed to help the bean stick better ). I'm seeing a reproductive endocrinologist and they have me on low dose aspirin as well.

According to my RE a woman only needs 1,000 mcg of folic acid in their prenatals. Some prenatals have less and some have 1,000 mcg. Also B vitamins can help increase your leutal phase, if you need. B6 with B complex specifically help that.

Also, please feel free to introduce yourself and sign in on the January Roll Call sticky!

holy crap they're some long lists!

Not sure I wana even try mine, not something I;ve sat and done before...maybe another day

And sweety - I also take Vitamin D as well as a prenatal, on my GP's advice as he said there has been some research which shows positive links between it and increased fertility (thats vague I know but cant recall the specific details)

Joining this thread a little late... But so far I have

Kept track of my CM
And counted my CDs through FF

Of course I haven't been trying very long yet. And I knew there would be an adjustment period when I discontinued the BCP.

I take the B6 for my luteal phase. I was having pre-AF spotting that I didn't like, but later found my polyps, which were probably the cause of that. So, I will probably stop that one I run out. It is also supposed to boost energy.

Hi, Sweety. I do the B vitamin complex to try to extend my luteal phase (it's only 8 or 9 days). And I do mucinex to try to thin out my CM. I'm afraid it might be "hostile." lol. I find that term for CM so funny.
