So do you ladies ever have one of those nights where your brain says, "Sleep? Oh no. We are staying awake and think about random crap!"

Really, brain?!?!

So I thought I would try out some random stuff on here. I'm sure some of these have been answered before I just am lazy to look for them ---Help with one or more or whatever! Thanks in advance!

1) So how do you take the pineapple core? I have no idea how to cut a pineapple and I'm assuming it has to be fresh (lord knows I'm going to be sick of pineapple---haha and so will my coworkers)

2) What's the judgement on baby aspirin? What do you take it for?

3) My shoulder muscle is KILLING me----what can I take for it while TTC? I have flexiril (muscle relaxent) and Vicadin also....

4) Um.......my CM is quite tainted with blood still and very thick and creamy---AF left a few days ago and I feel like I'm a leaky faucet down there

5) Baby carrots? Sorry I know this topic might be

6) This last cycle AF came 3 days early---is it possible I O'd earlier than I thought? I did get OPKs this cycle----I started using them yesterday and I'm not taking any chances---btw AF came on 1/29 so I'm on CD7 today

7) Any other suggestions at all?

Thanks ladies!!!!!

I can only answer 2 & 3.

So I asked my dad about baby aspirin when I was home over break - they had an advertisement for it over the tv for heart attacks. He said that there are good things about it and bad things. It's a good anticoagulent, which means it's a blood thinner - the idea is that it improves blood flow, and particularly for your uterus. The thing is, you have to be careful if you're on a blood thinner and it exposes you to risk - if you get injured, it will be harder for them to care for you.

However, since aspirin leaves your system quickly, if you do take it for part of your cycle, by not taking it during your period, it will leave your system quickly. That being said, I'm not sure it's worth it - maybe for one cycle to try.

For aches and pains and whatever, basically the only thing that is TTC friendly is Tylenol. You can often look up things on the web about different meds - but most girls stick to Tylenol. If you are on your period or whatever, some people are more lax, since you couldn't be pregnant, but others like to be consistent about it.

Good questions

Yeah... don't feel like sleeping right now...

1) So how do you take the pineapple core? LoL, I'm curious ont his one.

2) What's the judgement on baby aspirin? What do you take it for? I don't take it...

3) My shoulder muscle is KILLING me----what can I take for it while TTC? I dunno about the flexeril or the vicodin, those are potent prescription grade stuff... I would stick to tylenol or a heating pad, unless it's recently been prescribed by your doctor maybe you want to call and ask if it's cool to take those.

4) Um.......my CM is quite tainted with blood still and very thick and creamy---AF left a few days ago and I feel like I'm a leaky faucet down there Lol... ummm... Was this a question? I hate when that happens...

5) Baby carrots? What's the deal with baby carrots? Will they help me get pregnant?

6) This last cycle AF came 3 days early---is it possible I O'd earlier than I thought? I did get OPKs this cycle----I started using them yesterday and I'm not taking any chances---btw AF came on 1/29 so I'm on CD7 today I dunno... :\ Wish I could help you, I guess anything is possible. I am new to the OPKs and attempting to chart my BBT, the BBT is all over the place, and I got 3 days of positive on the OPKs last time, this month I didn't test again after I had 2 days of positive OPKs...but I think that puts me in the ballpark so I know to expect AF around the 28th or take a pregnancy test.

7) Any other suggestions at all? I'm in the same boat as you. Looking for suggestions. Good luck!

1) So how do you take the pineapple core? I have no idea how to cut a pineapple and I'm assuming it has to be fresh (lord knows I'm going to be sick of pineapple---haha and so will my coworkers) How to cut a pineapple

For timed intercourse, cut pineapple into 5 pieces. consume one piece each day start the day after ovulation. If you start it too early, you can make your CM too acidic.

2) What's the judgement on baby aspirin? What do you take it for? Anti-coagulant. Helps blood move around easily. Some women have clotting disorders that cause miscarriage, so it helps them stay pregnant (some need harsher drugs too). I've done it a few cycles... and I'm doing it this month too

3) My shoulder muscle is KILLING me----what can I take for it while TTC? I have flexiril (muscle relaxent) and Vicadin also.... Nada. Tylenol is pretty much it.

4) Um.......my CM is quite tainted with blood still and very thick and creamy---AF left a few days ago and I feel like I'm a leaky faucet down there How long are your af's usually? I've been told it's common to see blood for up to 7 days during af. More if you spot before she shows.

5) Baby carrots? Sorry I know this topic might be Nom nom. LOL

6) This last cycle AF came 3 days early---is it possible I O'd earlier than I thought? I did get OPKs this cycle----I started using them yesterday and I'm not taking any chances---btw AF came on 1/29 so I'm on CD7 today You could have O'd earlier, or not at all (opk's can't guarantee you O, just that you surge.) Or you could have had a weak O, which means no enough progesterone to get you a normal Leutal phase.

7) Any other suggestions at all? They say it can take up to 1 year to get pregnant. If you aren't temping and checking CM too, you should consider those as well. TTC is tough, and it can be stressful, which makes it even harder to concieve. So try and relax as much as possible.

ADDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You CANNOT eat pineapple core and take aspirin together.

I wanted to add that Flexeril is actually safe to take while pregnant so if your DR has no issues with you taking it while TTC then you should be fine. I take it pretty much every day and have for quite some time, I have a lot of joint problems. Also it's rated category B while Tylenol is actually rated category C so really it's even safer.

Vicodin is not as bad as you would think, again talk to your DR. But if you haven't even ovulated yet then it's safe to take since it contains tylenol and not ibuprofen. Ibuprofen can hinder implantation from what I've read. You won't be sharing a blood supply with your baby right away so taking things that you need for pain is not nearly as bad as it sounds. And since you are TTC and paying attention to your cycles you will know if you are pregnant long before anything could cross the placenta.

1) So how do you take the pineapple core? I have no idea how to cut a pineapple and I'm assuming it has to be fresh (lord knows I'm going to be sick of pineapple---haha and so will my coworkers) as far as I know, its just the core you want - and there's no particular rules on how to cut it up, I just find a sharp knife and hack away! Its woody and doesnt taste particularly nice so I find small pieces tastes better. If your clever you could always try it in a smoothie?

2) What's the judgement on baby aspirin? What do you take it for? I dont take it so cant give any info on this

3) My shoulder muscle is KILLING me----what can I take for it while TTC? I have flexiril (muscle relaxent) and Vicadin also.... not a lot i'm afriad, i use paracetamol sparingly and avoid ibuprofen, especially after O during 2ww. I recommend a massage from DH and a hot bath

4) Um.......my CM is quite tainted with blood still and very thick and creamy---AF left a few days ago and I feel like I'm a leaky faucet down there might still be AF leaving town, how long was AF around for?

5) Baby carrots? Sorry I know this topic might be meant to help with CM i believe, cant say i've tried this one as I dont have too many issues with CM. I do take EPO though

6) This last cycle AF came 3 days early---is it possible I O'd earlier than I thought? I did get OPKs this cycle----I started using them yesterday and I'm not taking any chances---btw AF came on 1/29 so I'm on CD7 today it is possible you O'd earlier, the other option is you have a short LP (luteal phase). After a few cycles you should have a better idea, if you consistently have a short LP it would be somethign to see an OB/RE about i think

7) Any other suggestions at all? try going for a walk before bed, fresh air might tire you out! other than that, no caffeine/bright lights or stimulating tv. Oh and a bath might help. When i cant sleep and have a lot going on in my mind, i try writing lists

Exercise and night time tea have been two things I have used to get me to sleep. If I exercise it helps me burn off energy that would otherwise translate in to me worrying. And I think NightyNight Tea and the like taste good so I sometimes brew two bags in a mug of hot water. I try to create a routine that clues my body in sleep. Sometimes it works.

Those were great questions!!! I love how knowledgeable people are on here

I only really have experience with #4
That happens to me on some random cycles where I will see some blood mixed in with the CM for a few days after. I asked my doc about it and she didn't seem concerned at all.

Other suggestions: I cant remember but do you temp? I know that temping really helped me out I was Oing over a week earlier than I thought before I started temping.

Also, TTC can be such a stressful time so I think doing other things in life that make you happy really helps as well - I try to focus on eating healthy, working out (not so hard during TWW), and spending time with DH and friends. Getting rid of stress can really help with the whole process.

Best of luck to you!!!! Hope you are able to calm your mind and get a better nights sleep too!!

I used to temp and I have a few months of data... Maybe I ought to do it again. I stopped bc I couldn't remember to do it half the time in the forth month of temping.... Thx for the advice!

Hey Erin,

Just wanted to add, baby aspirin can help someone who has had recurrent miscarriages, as blood clots are sometimes the cause of the m/c. Also, if you start taking baby aspirin you will likely spot before and after your period. This is normal. I'm currently on a baby aspirin regmine.

The pineapple core is gross, but not too bad. I tried it once. Also, do not eat the fruit after you ovulate, just the core and it must be dpo 1-5.

Baby carrots does help increase cm. It's worked for me, though I typically don't have too much of a problem with it.
