My progesterone looked good. But everything does indicate that I am estrogen dominant... which I did find in my medical records from a trip to a specialist 2.5 years ago.... this just confirms it.

The good new is.. the Progesterone cream DOES work. The bad news apparently is... out of balance hormones can mean bad eggs.

None of my plan really changes. The same things to fix the possible progesterone issue, fix the estrogen.

*sigh*

I called the lab people. they say that if I'd only used 80mg of the cream, that my level indicates high natural progesterone.
luteal phase of pregnancy goes from 75 (o) to 275 (pregnancy) they'd have expected to see my levels in the 200's for just using the cream twice... mine was 353. Their opinion is I was pregnant when I collected the sample, but with out bloodwork for a beta they can't tell me for sure. After so many faint lines on multiple tests... I think they're right.

KEEP IN MIND.. this was salival progesterone, not blood.. so the numbers are different than you're used to seeing.

So sorry hun!

I had estrogen dominance...hence the massive fibroids I had removed. Something that really helped was watching everything I put on my body. Almost every lotion, soap, shampoo, makeup, laundry detergent,...has chemicals in them that act like estrogen. Also soy is estrogen....I had to give up eating all soy....my dr said soy was not good for women that have estrogen dominance.

Yeah, I knew that.... it's why it took me a year of trying to even consider trying Soy for ttc... and it worked... and then didn't work. *sigh* Guess I'll start reading labels and try and eliminate as much soy as I can.

we had planned on changing our diets this year, I'm going to lessen the amt of gluten I eat as well since my thyroid condition often causes a slight intolerance to gluten.

We are quite good with chemicals here... the only major ones we have are my deodorant and shampoo, and toilet bowl cleaner. I'm willing to switch deodorant.. but I've tried the natural shampoos and they ruin my hair.. and with my psoriasis I'm not even willing to consider shampoo free.

You don't happen to have a website or anything that references the major chemicals that act like estrogen do you?

This website has a ton of good info.

Progesterone Cream Oil SPECIALTY Progestelle PRESERVATIVE FREE - Women's Therape

Some of the main things I've had to stay away from are:
Aloe, caffeine, canola oil, chamomile, clover, cinnamon, chocolate, coffee, flax seed, safflower oil, soy, lavender, sunflower oil, and all parabens. All those things act as estrogen ... There are many more but those are the ones that I noticed had the biggest effect on me.

The shampoo that has worked well for me is a soapnuts shampoo and I use Aragon oil as a detangler. Some people love some people hate it....just depends on your hair.

I'm glad you got your results back, sorry theyre not too great I think you have a good attitude and plan to do whatever you can to help with your diet/things used around the home.

And i'm so sorry about the loss, even without the betas, with the faint tests and those high progesterone numbers it does sound like you were likely pg

Thanks girls. Just to be sure once DH goes back to work, I'm going to do another test where there's 0 chance of pregnancy and no use of the cream. Will give a judge of how my progesterone does on it's own with not outside factors.

IF there is any such cycle of course. I do plan on seeing DH montly. lol
