So my husbands friend just got married in Oct to a girl he has been dating for like ten years since she was 14. Now, he is telling my husband that he is thinking about getting a divorce and moving out of the apt that his wife's parents bought. He also has been sleeping around with another woman. I feel so bad about this situation.....I feel like the wife needs to know before he up and leaves without notice.....the sleazy thing is that he has been feeling like breaking up with her even before they got married!

Uggg I don't like knowing this----we all used to live together a few years ago but I'm not super aquainted with her. I just am empathetic about how she would feel. Argh!!! I'm sure you ladies will tell me to stay out of it but I haaaaate knowing this gossip and not do anything with it. Argh!!!!!

I would feel for that woman. Actually I babysit for a woman whose husband was a cheater and it really rocked her world. I never knew them together though.

I'm going to confirm your gut feeling to stay out of the situation. But you can always pray for her.

Erin, I'm so sorry that you are placed in this situation. If I were you, I would not get involved. Just my opinion, but you don't want her getting mad at you for telling her about the divorce/affair, etc....Of course, only you know what's best for you. My T&Ps are with your friends wife.

That is a terrible situation I would be torn like you are but I would have to agree with the other ladies and say probably staying out of it is the best. . . I have heard in these situations before it is a common reaction to blame the messenger.

Hopefully it all gets resolved quickly

Unless you are very close friends, I would stay out of it. Chances are, she will find out soon enough what is going on. I find that sometimes people even tend to resent the "messenger" in these types of situations. I'm not saying that would necessarily be the case here, but you definitely do not want to be involved in their drama.

I'm sorry! I don't mean for that to sound harsh at all. I just don't want you to be "punished" for a good deed, you know?
