Morning ladies

Hows your day going so far? What have you got planned this weekend?

Happy good Friday! This might be a dumb thought but do you have good Friday? (The Friday before easter)

I'm super happy b/c dh and I have a 3 day weekend

We have a ton of dh's stuff left in the garage to finish putting away...so that is our weekend.
I'm kinda glad b/c Easter weekend is always hard for me...our neighborhood and church have all kinds of things for the kids and I try not to be around to watch all the moms and dads with their LO's I know it is selfish of me but after TTC for 5 years I can't handle it.

Stefanie, you are not selfish. I get this way too...

This has been a crazy week! Sorry that I've only been on the board sporadically. Wednesday night we met up with friends and saw GI Joe, not Oz, which was eh, but we still had fun with our friends. Yesterday I had a crazy day at work and then attended a banquet where my student was being honored. So that was a 13 hour day right there. Today, I'm hosting a work related dinner honoring our department, so that will be another 13 hour day. I'm so hoping for a really, really quiet weekend! I need to rest!

for Steph.

Day is going well. Unexpectedly I'll have some time off with families gone for the the holidays. I plan to ride my bike like a crazy woman and catch up on some school work. The good news is that I am getting caught up FINALLY. Whew!

I'm awake hours before I wanted to be, I'm going to need a nap lol.

I need to get the rest of our apartment cleaned today, fold clothes... I had errands to run and now cannot remember for the life of me what they were.

Dh comes home tonight, he wants to go shopping tomorrow, spend the day with Reme, have take out Chinese for supper. He leaves again Sunday morning. Then I'm having dinner with L's family on Sunday.

And yes, it's Good Friday here too We don't celebrate it personally, but I know I did growing up.

Jen, I didn't answer your question. Yes, Christians here celebrate Good Friday, but it's not typically a work holiday. When I was younger, we used to celebrate/reflect on Good Friday (I grew up in a very devout Catholic family). Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Easter Sunday falls on my birthday this year so i will be eating at my parents house and then to dh's cousin for Easter. I will be getting my half brother tomorrow (13 and 11) and they are spending the night-looking forward to that, haven't seen them in ages : )

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

TGIF indeed! DH and I spent the day with my family and some close family friends (they live an hour away)-- dying eggs, enjoying the gorgeous weather, going for long walks, doing word jumbles... it was great!

We came home for the night and tomorrow, we'll leave to go to DH's grandma's to celebrate MIL & GMIL's birthdays. Then on Sunday, we'll do the whole Easter celebration. It's weird right now since there are no little kids -- DH's youngest sibling is 16... so no more Easter bunny/egg hunts. MIL is convinced that Easter will not be fun again until she has grandbabies.

But, I think this weekend will be alright... the weather is supposed to be fabulous, so I'll be able to make it through anything!!! Plus, I know I have a retort that will make MIL speechless! When she makes comments about us having kids, I'll just say "Well, sorry MIL, We're having too much FUN just TRYING... and getting TONS of practice!" bahahahaha.

Let me tell you... the weather has put a new spring in my step today. I'm loving it!
Happy Easter, All!!!

Sounds like lots of great easter plans! As we're not religious, we dont tend to celebrate easter in a traditional way but good friday and easter monday are bank holidays = days off work! We tend to see either mine or DF's family on the easter sunday, this year (tomorrow) we're going for dinner at DF's parents house and then for a walk afterwards - fingers crossed for no more snow!

Today, we had a long lie in and have spent the afternoon shopping and went to the cinema (we saw trance, the new danny boyle film, was quite good) and have been out for tea - yummy! all in all....a pretty good day
